mine only excepts 5 bags at a time

:eek:Looks like I might be spending a lot of time going backwards and forwards to the bank then come December.

In fact I'll have to take 5 bags in and ask them how many as otherwise the cost of parking will mean I might as well use one of the machines in Asda.

If you're friendly with a local shopkeeper they might be willing to swap the change for notes. It's amazing how little change there is floating around nowadays (it's all in tins lol) and quite often you'll find that shopkeepers will be grateful of the chance to get hold of some change. Obviously don't take a bag of pennies in during a rush though :)

The machine I used took 7p in the £1.00 - 7% - so I suppose if you want to count your money - then you will save yourself even more.

Thinking about it - you could get a coin counter from ebay or something like and it would divide the coins for us!

Hey - I'm getting this money saving thingy now!

I always take a pile of change when I go to the self scanner tills. I find it a quick and easy way to get rid of the change that clutters everywhere up. It doesn't take too long to bung it all in there and if it's not enough then it's no bother to pay the rest by card.
It doesn't cost me anything either!

I meant to say that the coinstar machines print out a voucher for you to use at that shop - but if you take it to customer services, they cash it for you (as I did today)

You saved all that money and then gave nearly £20 away just like that to Asda, for nothing!
If you want to send it to me, I will count it for you for half that price.

I save 5p and 10ps and use them in parking machines most of them still take 5ps .
I try and use the coppers up in shops instead of breaking into a £1 or 50p.
