Got another one of these Till Coupons yesterday from Sainsburys Finchley Road.

These coupons aren't currently very helpful: the ones I've been getting were asking me to spend 50, 60 or 70 pounds at once to get any benefit (such as triple points)... We're a two people household, and we just don't spend that amount of money on a weekly shop! especially not in this time of recession! it's a very unrealistic offer, which means I don't get very much benefit out of shopping at sainsbury's. I told one employee, but they said I had to talk to nectar... will see wha they say...
I think if they asked you to spend 30 to 40 pounds at once for rewards such as double or triple points, that would be just much more realistic!!!!0 -

I just phoned Nectar to see why I've not been given any vouchers and I was told it is because I am using the secondary card. Only the primary cardholder can get the vouchers. I'm a bit mad cos it's all in my name and OH just took one of the cards and now never uses it (might even have lost it?), so I have to wait for a new one to come before I'll get these. (was off to sains today too)
They were talking twaddle! My card is primary, but hasn't been used more than once or twice. We get vouchers once or twice a month on hubby's secondary card.DTD...Dreading The Detox.0 -

I keep getting these but never use them because of the £60 spend needed.0 -
For the last 4 weeks running we've got the £4.50 off a £30 spend voucher. That is with my own card, which historically has only been used when getting petrol. Before we always used my partner's card, but only ever got double points or smaller amounts.0

Today I presented one I got last week - 100 bonus points when you spend £10 on a PAYG top-up. Well I needed a top-up so spent £10 and duly presented my voucher. It didn't work so the chap on the till summoned assistance. The first lady to assist was no help so another lady joined them. Still no 100 points went on and the queue behind me was getting more and more agitated! I was getting more and more embarrassed and told them just to leave it, it didn't matter! But they were all 3 like dogs with a bone trying to get it to work! Eventually one of them took me to Customer Services to get the 100 points added on. By this time I felt like crawling out of the store. I don't think I'll bother using any more vouchers!!"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0

All I ever get is coupons for £2 off a £20 spend, but as I rarely spend more than £10 in one go, I can never use them.
However, are the coupons linked to your Nectar card? or can you pass them on to someone else with a Nectar card? It doesn't say that you have to use yours?...0 -
I keep getting "Triple Points when you spend £30" but if I shop in different stores I get different offers, one was "Triple points if you spend £15 in XXXXX store", another store I keep getting "£2 off a £20 spend", so I recon its store specific.
I also find that many people just forget/don't want to collect them or throw them in the paper bins at the tills, this can be very useful to scavengers like myself- thank you to those who chuck the coupons0 -

That's probably why you are getting them. They want you to spend that little bit more...
I find most of the time spending £10 is more frugal than spending £20 to get the £2 off...As of 24/11/2020
