Dont have these scanners at my local store at the min but may do once the refurb has been completed, however i dont think it has been that long since they had new tills so is this an addition to existing machines or do they have to wait to have newer tills put in?

I got a Double Nectar points on your next shop (valid for 1 month) - Stanmore Broadway. This was the first time I was aware of it.

Its just an addition but I think they are easier to install on the newer tills. Thats why the store I used to work in was one of the first to get them because we had to have new tills to support the till software upgrade that was happening at that time.

All Sainsbury's supermarket stores (ie just not in Sainsbury's 'Locals') will have them by the end of this month according to the recent Sainsbury's results announcement.
Also, my store told me most coupons are targeted at Nectar card holders (although not all) so make sure you always give your Nectar card, even if at self-checkouts and only buying one item, to be in with a chance of getting more coupons!

Sainsbury's is said to be the first retailer in the UK to roll out the 'coupons at till' scheme,

Tesco and Somerfield have been doing till coupons for years havent they ?

Sainsbury's is first to do full colour printing coupons at till. They look far better than Tesco/Somerfield's black and white ones which are just part of the till receipt feed which you can miss. They are full colour on better paper, with product images from what I've seen and easier to see when you're handed them with your receipt (and spot later on in your wallet!)
  • This might be of interest to those who are yet to receive any of these vouchers:

I just phoned Nectar to see why I've not been given any vouchers and I was told it is because I am using the secondary card. Only the primary cardholder can get the vouchers. I'm a bit mad cos it's all in my name and OH just took one of the cards and now never uses it (might even have lost it?), so I have to wait for a new one to come before I'll get these :(. (was off to sains today too)

    It's only a game

I'm not disputing what you've been told, but I'm the secondary card holder in our household, but mine gets used the most (because I usually pay for all the supermarket shopping) but I get various vouchers each week

I hope you start getting the vouchers once you get your new card.

Well, I don't really care how the coupons look like. I am just happy to get some.
Cannot see a reason to be dead excited about the colour of them... I rather get excited by the value of them.

Hmmm, that's interesting, thanks for that Buffy. I'll see what happens when I get the new card. I'm off to Sainsbury's soon (when I get off here lol!), so maybe I'll get lucky today.
