    How do you know?

  • I phoned Odeon to ask if they could tell me. It's quite a long drive for us, so a waste of time if it wasn't the film I voted for.

And I'm glad I rang - I voted for Grease....

It's meant to be the same film showing in all cinemas on the 29th.

I can't believe that Love Actually has won the vote and that the cinema would tell you because nobody was meant to know what film had won, until tomorrow evening.

Are you sure that they weren't having you on?

Perhaps it's the film most people who'd chosen that particular cinema voted for?

I can't imagine why the guy on the phone would be 'having me on' as I didn't tell him what film I was hoping for, and he wouldn't benefit in any way by giving me incorrect information... and I asked him to confirm what he'd told me so neither of us misunderstood either...

It's meant to be the film voted best overall which will be showing at all cinemas. Or at least that's what it stated in the info.

I'll try and ring my local cinema tonight and see if they will tell me and if so, what film it will be.

I can only suggest other people do the same if they don't want a wasted journey.

Oh! I do hope it not Love Actually.

I may not bother to go and my OH will hate it.

Sod that, just tried to ring and I was 22 in the queue!

I'll ask OH to pop in on his way home from work and see if they will tell him.

If it's a girly film I'll go with my daughter but if it's Top Gun, OH would kill to go with me lol

I rang Odeon on 0871 22 44 007, waited in a queue for 6 minutes and kept requesting 'more options' until I got to speak to an operator, and he kept me on hold while he checked.

Like i said, I'm glad I did though. The journey to the cinema after working all day soooo isn't worth it to watch a movie I don't really care about seeing and receive a free 'goody bag'...:o

Does anyone know whether the tickets can be given away to a friend. I've got two tickets for tomorrow night but I don't think I can make it now as have been ill with the worst cold ever since yesterday so it would be nice if two of my friends could take my place.

I was wondering whether they checked ID. I know that when it comes to the free film screenings they usually don't but not sure about this one.
