    This is ridiculous.

Managed to get through to my local cinema which we have tickets for, to be told that they don't know as it's 'top secret' and they won't know until tomorrow evening.

OH would go if it was Top Gun, but doesn't want to watch anything else and if I wanted to take DD with me, and say for example it was Sex and the City, then she wouldn't be able to watch it as it's a 15, so would they turn us away?!

    Bloody stupid!

terms and conditions state you have to be 18 in any case so the certification of the film would be irrelevant

It's just 18 to be able to enter the promotion isn't it?

luvvlycuppat, can you not ring the cinema you are meant to go to and ask them if they have your details ~ if so, ask if you can take some ID instead x

Still no tickets... so thus we are without our free passes to the cinema treat. Hrmmphh. I am so glad we are kid free this week as I would have arranged childcare for us to do this! And what then? Two upset people that's what....

I guess we could find the money to watch something else and have our night out, but that's kind of throwing money away just to fill the empty space.

I'm gonna phone the odean and see what they can do for us.... nothing else left to do!

You should have had an email that you can print off and take with you. They'll then check your name against a guest list. Mine read like this:
    Dear ******,

Maverick had Goose, Sandy had Danny and Carrey had Mr. Big, but who will be your partner on the night?

Now might be a good time to start thinking about it because your tickets are in the post and we're busy counting the last few votes to find out which film will be showing on your screening night.
We look forward to seeing you both at 8.30pm at ******* ** * * ******* on the 29-Oct-09.
In the meantime, good luck finding your 'Wingman'.
Should your tickets not arrive, please print this email and bring it with you on the night. You'll be on our guest list.

    VW car brochure

    VW sticker for the car

    VW keyring for car key

And so on and so on.....:rotfl:

Oh and like OH said, I bet the goodie bags are given out on the way out, so you're stuffed if you don't like the film and want to leave as soon as you realise it's one you don;t want to watch lol

Does anyone know whether the tickets can be given away to a friend. I've got two tickets for tomorrow night but I don't think I can make it now as have been ill with the worst cold ever since yesterday so it would be nice if two of my friends could take my place.

I was wondering whether they checked ID. I know that when it comes to the free film screenings they usually don't but not sure about this one.

they probably will check ID on this one, as theres no names on the tickets. if its not far tho its worth a try? tell ur friend to give ur name and they 'forgot' the ID?! and make sure they look gutted to try get the sympathy?! lol! hope youre feeling better!
A good friend can tell you what is the matter with you in a minute ...:A

I was sent an email shortly after receiving my tickets which could be printed off and used in place of the tickets if they did not arrive. Have you not received one of these? If not, maybe you were unsuccessful in being allocated tickets.
