Guess the voting didn't really matter and it was just a case of who had what in stock to show. The Mama mia I saw was scratcy and out of focus at times. Only noticed out of MS habits

Well I am completely confused then! How come screens are showing different films? I thought this was a national vote, not regionalised? I want to see Top Gun!! How could anyone NOT vote for that? My tickets are for Tuesday...glad I had some warning!!
  • It was Grease in the cinema I went to - and the Goody bag had a packet of Snack-o-Jack, little nivea creme tin, Nivea My Silhouette sample, pen, cappucino sample and a 50p off Nescafe voucher. Bit disappointed it was Grease - saw that fairly recently on TV...but at least it wasn't Love Actually - would have walked out if it was that! There were several technical hitches during the showing too, where the screen just went blank for several minutes at a time...at least it was free!
  • Oh yes, and a Baileys truffle and Osteocare tablet too - but no pack of polos!!
  • Bristol Cabot Circus was showing Sex and The City tonight.
    (I didn't vote for that!)
Fair bit of boo-ing when the titles came up. It seemed that quite a few people in the audience had wanted and expected to see "Grease".
Cinema was only about half full - and some people left before the end!
However, it's a lovely venue ... very warm and comfy - and it was free after all!
  • I would have liked to have seen Sex and the City or even Mamma Mia, as havn't seen them...or Top Gun which I have seen...or Bridget Jones which I voted for... oh well, I did see John Travolta combing his hair and strutting lol...and the woman in the row in front of me certainly enjoyed it, doing little dance moves during all the songs!!
  • That is confusing - we saw Mama Mia in Wandsworth, which was amusingly dire - poor acting & even worse singing! The 1/3rd-filled audience were in fits of laughter. We counted the people walking out, many of whom grabbed spare goody bags on their exit to claps & cheers, & the remaining 40 or so of us cleaned up on the leftovers as we went out.

A great laugh though everyone agreed they'd never have paid to see it!
