Hi I need a mother of the bride outfit size 26/28. My budget is maz £150 any ideas welcome. Its a late summer wedding 2010 and I would like something very soft/floaty. I love the box2 clothes but the lime outfit is just the wrong shade of green, would clash with bridesmaid in sage/champagne colours. This is the one http://www.box2.co.uk/outfits/kasbah-lime-chiffon-waterfall-jacket-with-sousdi-chiffon-layered-dress.aspx just not sure of the colour clash. I am really into lime or olive green at the moment. Also it is a bit over the max and thats without shoes etc. What do you think

I like swim wear online as a place to buy larger sized proper swim suits. I have bought two from them over the past couple of years and they have always been fine.

Sethsgran: I think that is a lovely outfit, and they are both pieces you could wear again and again with other separates. I also like it in the Charcoal version, which would look great accessorized with a pashmina shawl and/or some nice chunky jewellery in Lime, if you were too concerned about clashing with the b/ms. What does your daughter think?

Thanks for that idea newleaf I had thought of chunky jewellery, prob make my own, but hadn't considered a pashmina that sounds great. I am hoping to go to their shop in Kendal next week for the first time so who knows I might just come back with some goodies:j

I'm loving this thread! Finally, the manufacturers have realised that a lot of us girls are not "standard" sizes!

Having said that, I am having real trouble finding some jeans that fit properly. I had a pair from M&S years ago which fitted fabulously, unfortunately, I ripped one knee accidentally so they were consigned to the bin :(

I am looking for jeans which are a size 22, have side elastic on the waistband and which are not the stretch fabric and also need to be long length (33" or more).

The stretch ones cling in the wrong places and the waistband bags at the back which is not a good look. Also, I was forever pulling them up, even though I tried my usual size and the smaller size too!

I know, its a lot to ask for but if anyone can help I would be eternally grateful! I guess I am just the wrong shape for jeans!!

Have you tried asda jeans, they are quite good I've found ,only thing is you do have to rake to find them, I don't recommend ordering them online the 2 times I ordered a 24 the sent me an 8:mad: oh yeah that's hilarious!!

    Hi
thank you for setting up this thread. It has been so helpful. I am 6ft tall and size 22/24 so am very limited.
However I have found that on Ebay there is a seller from a store in Barnsley called Every Inch A Woman which is fabulous and her smallest size is 18. They are efficient and really helpful so worth a look.
For Bras I have discovered a website called Brastop which stocks the nice bras ( I am a 36 J) at good prices. currently from £8.95!! these are the £40-£50 bras on end of line but great and easy to use as you can search on your size rather than look at loads of bras and find no stock in the size you want.
For shoes in larger sizes Long Tall Sally sell both flats and heels. Also I visit london twice a year and have got some good bargains in the road where long tall sally is for shoes and boots. There are several stores whic specialise in large sizes. I cannot remember the names but was hoping someone in london may see this and look to assist the next time they are near oxford st. The road has long tall sally and sahara in ( expensive but different and beautifully made clothing including for larger ladies) I go at sale time!!

Hi - we're the same size and height! Do you take a size 9 shoe like me, too?

Long Tall Sally is in Chiltern Street in London. I don't have much success with their clothes as they don't have much available in size 22. I've yet to buy any shoes from them but they used to put a warning on the website that the shoes were on the small side, and they recommended going up a size from what you'd usually buy. I don't think it says that anymore, but it put me off buying them!
