Large Plus Size Clothing

By chance I bumped into a Ulla Popken (only 2 in the country and I saw one before my eyes. And with sales on as well!).
They had excellent sales on, and I bought lots of stuff. Very good, a bit like Anne Harvey but some a bit more imaginative.0 -
Not sure if it's been mentioned but ASOS.com now do a range 20+.0

I haven't read this whole thread yet, but what a fantastic idea!
:T Larger size people take as much pride in their appearance as anybody else in my experience, and I believe everybody should be able to wear whatever makes them happy. (Even my v skinny buddy who is staring down the barrel of 50 and still has a thing for the cutesie, glittery, pink and fluffy end of the market!:D)
First of all I'd like to give a big thumbs up to QVC. Not in the least bit bargainous unless you're shopping in Clearance, but they do almost everything in sizes to fit almost everyone and I think they deserve some credit for that. They have the biggest selection of stretch fabrics, longer length tops and elasticated waist I've ever seen in one place - plus customer reviews which - if they're good ones - can be really helpful and video too.
My favourite item is the George Simonton Pull on Trouser which is basic black trousers for work for under £30 inc postage which don't need ironing, dry quickly, stretch and have a comfy elasticated waistband. Not for everybody I imagine, but I wear mine so much that I really need to buy some more. They're a wide leg design so they work really well for pear shapes with big thighs. (like me!)
The other thing I spotted today while shopping on eBay was this this lady:

She does various designs of skirt that you can have made to order (up to size 34.) I don't like to show my my (c)ankles so I only wear almost floor length skirts in the summer - and they can be a devil to find in the perfect length. I'm nipping back for a browse now.
Did someone say Ann Harvey sale....?:rotfl:Not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted. Einstein0 -
Sorry if this has already been included, I didn't have time to read the whole thread.
I blog about fashion and Yours Clothing seem to pop up quite a lot as their stuff is a pretty good price. I saw on Twitter that they're doing a model competition at the moment (all expenses paid!)
I've also seen Size Up do discount plus size fashion (I think are affiliated with Yours.) Saw a shirt reduced from £30 to £3 which I reckon most money savers wouldn't sniff at!
Hope this is useful0 -
I'm loving this thread. Can anyone tell me where I can get white basic V neck vest tops? - size 20 (or coloured for that matter). I've found it increasingly difficult to get V neck this past few years, plenty of round neck tops but as I'm short quite often they are too low. I'd be grateful for any help. Thanks.0

i purchased some stuff from new look recently and for the first time in many years i have found jeans that fit! being big and tall does not usually go in my favour and they are only £12 a pair unlike the £30 ones from evans which are either too big on the waist or too short in the legSLIMMING WORLD 13/5/2012- 6lb loss total weight loss 5 stone 8lb

Thanks totalchunk, yours clothing is great. Very useful for basic clothing to go around the house with.
http://reallycheaptights.myshopify.com offer some fabulous discounts for tights etc. Use them for work. Although the site dosen't say who they are made by, all my hosiery so far has been from aristoc or pretty polly, so appears they are their main suppliers.
Also www.shop.feminineplus.com have 10% off at the second with this code IV10BB04. They also have 10% cashback on quidco, so worth a stab.0 -

I'm a Size 20-22 and have had vest tops with a V Neck from H&M and George amongst others. H&M do their size S, M etc but I find the XL is adequate for me.0 -
