I have been buying stock at the moment and the choice from America just is amazing with the lingerie, it is so hard to find nice things that fit . But some of them stock up to a size 36 and use a real plus size model which is always much better!
Sainsburys jeans are fab though and i think they do a 24 but are a great fit!!

I think the trick is to go up a size or two in plus size tights, but they are expensive.

Cosyfeet are very good for large sized tights. I discovered them when looking for extra wide slippers for my mum. Not a hugely fashionable collection, I grant you, but the black, chocolate, navy and grey are nice.

Can anyone recommend thick winter tights for a size 22 tall lady? All the ones I've tried so far have been about 4 inches too short - no use at all! (Not evans though please).

Bit late to the party but I too am tall and the only tights I've found that are any good (tbf only tried evans and yours) are the evans footless ones. The ones with feet from both evans and yours never stay up for me but the thick 100 dernier footless ones are great.

I got the 100 denier Primark tights for £2.50 and they are a great size, but as I'm now a size 20 the 300 denier appearance microfleece lined tights have proved a godsend in this cold weather and at £3.50 a pair I've bought several - much nicer/warmer than the leggings at £3.
A waist is a terrible thing to mind.

Oh I'll second that - I have some for the rugby and they're fab with my thick socks under my trackie bottoms :)

I think the choice on the high street is improving, in Bristol we've had two new plus size shops open recently, Yours Clothing and Taking Shape which is an Australian company new to the UK. Tesco online is worth a look, also Asos Curve, M&S, Asda, Simplybe, Fashionworld, Marisota etc. Evans seems to be fading away or reducing its store stock inside BHS stores which at first was disappointing for me as I rely on them for shoes in my size, but since Yours has opened I've been impressed with them.

And good old Primark, Im a size 22 but Primark is great for cardigans for me, some dresses and tops and tights.

I will second "Taking Shape" (aka "TS). I loved the store so much I now work there on weekends as a "fun" job. One thing I will say, though - if you do go in, avail yourself of the knowledge of the staff. Some TS clothes are a bit "hit and miss" style/fit wise. I've got loads and loads of gorgeous clothes from there, but there are some pieces where I really do not know what they were thinking! The staff should be able to advise what will suit, though, and you can also book a variety of styling sessions, so you can take in some of your own clothes if you want to mix and match, and you'll have a member of staff advising you and suggesting things to try on. That's how they first roped me in! haha.

They also have fairly regular events and/or discounts/special offers...keep an eye out for the latter as the prices on some of the clothes are simply outrageous and the quality of the clothes doesn't always justify the price. To be fair to the company they do seem to have taken this on board, and prices are coming down...plus there's a sale on at the moment, which is great :) Plus anyone who wants wide-fit boots, they're £39 in store at the moment...go up toa size 8 or 9 and I've never seen anyone yet with calves too big to fit in. Unfortunately as my feet are a size 10, I can't get into them, but it may help someone.

Nice to see a positive review.
I'm playing about with some sale bits in my TS basket atm - and can't decide whether to order or now.

I'm normally and 22-24 and can't decide to go up or down a size on most items....

They are some good reductions - but partly as a lot of the prices were crazy beforehand.

Sod it.Taken the plunge. A lot of bloggers report sizing generous so I went for 22s rather than 24s.
Also a gorgeous pair of red boots - but think the 42 will be too big (only a 41 normally in wide)

Also used a 15% off sign up code so whole lot was about £130
