Large Plus Size Clothing

Any thoughts on plus size exercise wear. Honestly, they're always telling people to exercise more, but if you're above a size 18...
I get my swimsuits from Lands End - they're brilliant, do larger sizes, and for a daily swimmer they last for ages. And when they say tugless, they mean it!
But I need tracksuit bottoms that are loose (yoga style) in a size 20, long length. M and S don't have a proper drawstring waist - and my waist is an 18, I just like them looser at the hips.
And I need a sports style top, preferably a simple t-shirt, in moisture wicking fabric (I'm afraid I sweat rather than glow!), in a 22-24, which is longer length - because I'm tall.
It is proving a fruitless search. Any thoughts?
littlewood/very/isme do a lot of longer trousers/leggings, but their quality is a bit hit and miss. As they give free returns there's no harm in trying them out.0 -
Stumbled across Evans busty fitted shirt but none of my local stores have my size and the website stops at 20.
Any ideas where I can get something similar?
Thanks

Thanks for all the replies.
The State of Mind stuff is LOVELY. I've been looking lots! I'm also going to make a little visit to Debenhams.
I did see some t-shirts in the mens section of TK Maxx today - one was very, very long, the other was in luminous yellow! But I think it's worth a return visit to see what I might find.0 -

I've bought a couple of different styles of the cheap ones from Asda, (these: http://direct.asda.com/george/womens-jogging-bottoms/casual-joggers-grey/GEM149327,default,pd.html are the current ones) as a size 24 and 5'9" they fit me really well.
Tops I agree are much harder to find in womens wear.A waist is a terrible thing to mind.0 -
I'm a size 22/24 and 5'2" and occasionally manage to find branded tops at Sport Direct in my size at amazing bargain prices! But they don't stock large sizes as standard so it's really hit and miss as to whether they have any in at any time. I really do like the Asda ranges; I never look or feel out of place at my local gym wearing the £5 joggers.
Does anyone know anywhere reputable where I can get the Triumph Doreen bra in a size 40K? I managed to find a bright pink one on eBay (new from Lingerie by Victoria) but that's about it for my searching. Last year I was able to buy them from Debenhams online but they haven't had any in stock for months now.
I *have* found some on qualitylingerie.co.uk but I don't like buying from sites I don't know or haven't read reports on. Has anyone here had any dealings with that site?0 -

Hi, I am also a big fan of the Triumph Doreen and can recommend www.britishlingerie.co.uk as a trustworthy site. Last week I bought 3 46K bras for £63.00. If you spend over £50 postage is free, so I decided to stock up. Not only was this the cheapest price that I found (£21.00) but they arrived literally the next day. This is the second time that I have used this company and have been very impressed so far.
Hope this helps.0 -
I've had success!
Decathalon of all places (I assumed it would be hugely expensive, but it's not really).
They have a 2XL - which is slightly loose but ok - and they had lots in their reduced section.
So I got two pairs of bottoms and a t-shirt for £24. I'm very chuffed!
As an aside they also have a lovely range of swim hats - a plus for someone with a big head!0 -

This is so funny!
Today more Olympics tickets went out for sale, and for a few seconds I thought that by mistake I'd opened the thread I was reading earlier, and that someone had managed to get cheap tickets to a decathlon event :rotfl:
well done for the good find!0 -

Oh you absolute darling! :T Since Triumph closed their Cardiff store and the only department store we had that stocked large sizes closed some time ago, I have had so much trouble getting bras - but not anymore. Cheap prices, quick delivery; what's not to like! Many thanks for your help0 -
My son has used Joe Browns mail order in the past, very good service. I thought they were a little pricey but I'm absolutely delighted with the Joe Browns' dress (worn as a tunic top) that I got from the X Catalogue shop. It's a lovely easy-to-wear garment that is crinkle, so won't need ironing.
Once again that shop has come up trumps. It's also making it incredibly hard to stick to my £100 for the year clothes budget, but with a £38 dress costing £11.50, it's given me a lot more to play with!Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again...
