I went to Matalan yesterday and was pleasantly surprised. Their Rogers & Rogers range is well made and reasonable priced. The sizes are quite generous and thankfully the trousers and jeans are LONG 32" to 33" at least. However the sizing is very erratic across some styles. A pair of sz 22 leans fitted me but I needed a sz 24 in some bootcut leggings. They have nice bright colours and quite a large range in plus sizes. Overall I'll def go there or buy online instead of continually being disappointed by Evans. Might mean buying more than one size in some styles but worth it for the quality and I can return to store. My only gripe is they only seem to do shoes up to sz 8 and in standard width fitting. Hope that helps those anyone who was wondering.

Can anyone recommend a nice T-shirt?

I'm looking for plain black, decent weight cotton with a bit of stretch. Shaped a bit so it doesn't look all baggy, longish so I don't have to worry about flashing tummy and (hopefully) a v-neck.

I loved the East Coast ones you used to get a Evans but the actual Evans ones are awful.

Some of the best and good washing ones I have had have been from Cotton Traders. They are long and keep their shape for years.

Land's End do good quality ones, and they have special offers on most of the times (you may find codes on MSE boards). Highly recommended, they will last forever, and the cotton is nice and thick.
They have different styles, some more fitted than others.

Cotton Traders also do good t-shirts - some of my polo shirts from them must be 10 years old
Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.

I find that Rogers and Rogers are very hit and miss - either they have loads of lovely stuff or nothing at all. Last time I went in everything was either black (not so bad) white or hideous orangey colours - last thing I bought from there was a blue and pink tracksuit which I admit I rather like and have had a good lot of wear out of and I do like their control vests - my black one is still going strong despite being worn week in and week out to the rugby for 2 seasons and then washed and dried straight away - it has kept its shape well. I'm lucky in the sense of I can pick and choose from their other ranges as well as I'm a 22 on top so I've had a few nice tops in the sale from there.

For Croc fans - great for wide feet - there's a free postage offer this weekend. The Croc range has really expanded, I for one, had no idea.

I love crocs, :) I got a few pairs for the family
Sometimes they can be cheaper on Amazon (choice is more limited but worth checking just in case).

I must investigate, I won £50 to spend on Amazon on a survey site, which is due to arrive soon.
I can't praise the ones I have more highly. (Mammoth)
It's worth going to the Croc site to read the reviews though - Croc are very good and don't delete negative reviews. Those stopped me buying one style as I was pretty convinced they would be too narrow for me.

Postage is deducted from returns? Is that legal?
I don't remember this being mentioned before (sorry if it has).

Well spotted. No it isn't, another company that doesn't comply with Distance Selling Regulations, I'd say avoid.

Delivery will cost £2.95 mainland UK, but if you are in Northern Ireland it's £5.95, the same as Continental Europe...
