Had an hour in the garden raking the lawn and sowing the new seed so that is another box ticked. Just hoping the birds don't gobble it all up. I let Queen Victoria come into the garden with me and she sat in the sun and wandered around. She came back in when called but is cross I wont let her back out again - she never usually goes out for an hour so I know she's just winding me up.
Just going to do some email deleting before I go and get DS3 from school. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

Had a quieter afternoon turning my compost heap (a little: this is a long term aim!) and starting to alter the velvet curtain I took down from my living room door. Found that I only need to slash an existing seam in order to separate into two curtains, which will save a huge amount of time; though I'm not sure that it will reach to the ground even after I've lengthened it, as I really needed 5" amd I've got just over 4". Still, it's better than nothing, and I can't afford to replace them at the moment. Can always stick a draught-excluder snake at the bottom to hide the small gap.
Hope everyone is OK. Off for school run now, then loads of paperwork. Catch up later.
