  • Well my HHP (painting) turned into 2 hours but another big chunk of kitchen is now done while listening to the Life and Loves of a She-Devil - O to be a go-getter!!!

Soappie - your floorboards look amazing and good to see your camera hogging pooch getting in on the act again :D

Better go and wash the emulsion from out of my hair...

OK - well I've avoided cleaning so far today, but DH is coming back for lunch at 1:15 which gives me two x HHC. Should be able to knock the kitchen into shape in that time...

I've already decluttered the fridge of all the slightly manky veg and have thrown everything into either (a) a lamb stew for tonight or (b) a chorizo soup for the weekend.

So that's one thing off the list. Now to see if the flylady system works... I've had stars for 2 weeks running on the kitchen: can we make it three weeks in just an hour?

    .....I'm off....

    For Valli,

    She paused and sighed

    those feelings came

sweeping over, like a sudden rush of air.

Turning to go back inside, her heart swelled

as it does when in love or loved.

Caught by the moment she turned and saw

the scene, a snapshot of perfect

as her washing danced in the breeze

    Valli smiled,

    her pegs matched.

    :D

Going to spend some time in RoD after HHE and lunch. Already filled one bin bag today with shredding (love my shredder!). This room is taking SOOOO long to do! Think I may have to adopt a different approach - might try to declutter the floor/furniture, dump the stuff in boxes and put on top of the wardrobes, then do a box a day. That way at least I'll be able to get into the room to give it a clean and then start organising it.

    Hope everyone is OK.

Morning - day four, and I am still here and making progress - I don't think I have ever stuck at flylady for this long before, so I am very impressed with myself :D

Glad you're sticking with us and seeing a difference

My 15 year old cousin who lives in my village is going in for another operation today. He was born with a cleft palette (sp) which was fixed when he was a baby but as he has grown his lip has started to pull back, up towards his nose, so he is in today and will be operated on at some point this afternoon i think.

I hope his op is a success and his recovery swift, poor lad, same age as my DS1

Jassa - I'm not sure I have ever owned 81 pairs of shoes

I certainly haven't in one go - or a ten year period - loving my fitflop boots - I need nothing other than summer and winter fitflops:rotfl:

    PenPen
    - way to go with the water

Soappie - hoping DiL is less stressed this morning, fab floor but that dog she gets in all your photos, has she still got her tiara on:rotfl:

    Triker - great poem

    Jinky feeling any brighter hun?

The queen escaped whilst I was at town this morning - out of an upstairs bedroom window. She is a nightmare. She has been for her post op check and is recovering well, vet says maybe I'll have to let her out escorted as she will do less damage that the jumping around she is doing at the moment.

    Sunny here.

I need to finish my dailies and then as the weather is good go out and rake the soil and sow the grass seed and hope it is not too late in the year.
