  • Jassa I am still boggling at your shoes.... especially now I know you have a second stash of footwear elsewhere! I must declutter mine: my foot size went up 1/2 a size after DD was born (um.... quite some time ago!), and none of my stilettos fit any more, but I have kept them all just in case.... um... well just in case I have a very hot bath and manage to shrink my feet back to their original size again, I suppose.....

    (or it could be idleness!)

I haven't introduced DH to the concept of flying and the lists yet, but I think he's noticing the difference (and he keeps glancing suspiciously at the laptop when I'm catching up with the thread). He does almost all the ironing for us four and helps with DS2 a little, but does virtually nothing else. Considering that we both work (and I do a fair bit extra in the evenings), it's not a bad deal for him.

Since he's got no ironing left for tomorrow (his day off), I might leave him the list... ;)

I haven't told DH or DD about the flying and the lists, either... and they are both scratching their heads wondering what the heck has come over me...:rotfl:

But I have persuaded them that at the weekends we need to have a HHB(litz) to declutter and clear up areas so that I have half a chance of getting round, and - to do them credit - they have both gone with the idea very enthusiastically. (And have done more than a HH, and it has made a real difference).

DH has also started to do the odd job like emptying dishwashers and putting loads of washing on, as well - without being asked.... How long the help will last, I don't know....but I'm planning on encouraging it to last as long as possible....

    Miss H
p.s. thanks for the kind words about the sp***rs...... :D

The final coat of varnish on the final section of floorboards has just been applied :j:D

It'll need to dry overnight but I can get my living room back proper tomorrow. I am so relieved, pleased and knackered! Sorry if I'm going on about it, but it's been a BIG project.

Off to change out of these decorating clothes and start on the steak dinner...

helped with school swimming then went into town to get some stuff for DD1.

Popped into the sale preview (loyal customers only) at my local independant furniture shop and purchased a chair - down from £299 to £99! Being delivered Saturday! Technically it is OH's Christmas present.

Came home feeling chuffed - cooked tea then hubby grumbled about the state of the lounge.....'I'm not standing for it' was his comment.....well of course he wasn't - he was sitting down - as per blooming usual!:mad::mad:

Anyway I have sorted a fallout between DD2 and DS, done all the washing up and put it away ( an unfamiliar concept to OH) and helped DD2 with some homework.

    Am avoiding living room.......
    :jFlylady and proud of it:j
