Keys collected and flat inspected. It's lovely - first time I've ever seen it. It's really spacious. The vendor was still there when we arrived and, bless her, had just washed the kitchen floor and was about to hoover throughout! The place is perfectly up together so there is no need for them to hang about - they can move in at the weekend!

As we were in the villagy part of town, I have treated us to some nice rump steak from the butcher and some strawberries and cream for dinner - plus a bottle of champagne to wash it down with....

We're just having a bowl of soup for lunch then one more coat on a bit of floor I did before I left then we'll move some boxes in...

Little rugrat at school for a bit longer today (4.30pm) so must remember not to leave at 3pm....like every other time he's been staying back:o

Unpacked 4 boxes, done 4 washer loads, cleaned bathroom, put loads of clothes away, walked dog, had lunch....think that is all so far.

Next few jobs empty DW, empty WM, unpack 2 more boxes, find somewhere to hide suitcases, reorganise cupboard above wardrobe......

Oh.. and while I remember.. I have a doctor rant.. how thick is this?...

I took Tiddles with her finger and the doc did a referral to plastic surgery now because they have to offer 'patient choice'.. they offer us 1 hospital 3 miles away.. one hospital 18 miles away but across the bridge.. or a third choice 43 miles away!!!!!!!!

Where is the choice in that? I can't get to a hospital 43 or 18 miles away it would take me 2 days to walk there and I'd never be back in time for school...

THEN... you have to book the appointments online... well there are none at the hospital here... not one... so.. I ring the number on the letter.. it is some obscure location staffed by people with no access to appointments.. they send an email to the relevant dept and they issue an appointment.. at some point in the future..

Surely it is the job of the quack to send the referral direct to the department to issue an appointment? I don't get paid to do their job for them.. honestly these lazy good-for-nothings get paid more and more for doing less and less!!! Yet they STILL complain.. there is no pleasing some people!!

You can't get an appointment, you have to do the referrals yourself .. honestly.. give me a pad and I'll write my own prescriptions as well seeing as I always know what is wrong when I do rarely go anyway!!

    Finished ranting now

The culmination of my whole weeks flying amounts to.. scrubbing the little tiny hand basin in the loo...

My house is a pit and I feel really grotty!

    Fantastic news soappie!!
I have finished Mondays and Tuesdays lists with help from DH.!!!!!!!

Both of us are feeling really grotty today. Have aches and pains and temperature. Both feeling sorry for ourselves. We have to take the dogs out though so are going to wrap up warm and venture down to the fields to give Ydog a run and Odog a bumble around.

Maybe start on bedroom when we get back.

My GP always asks me what I think is wrong with me. If I knew I wouldn't need to ask him.

    2) The floor board scrubbing mission is complete. I just need to wait for the boards to dry then I can varnish - that'll take place in two chunks and should be complete by tomorrow lunchtime.

I can then start wearing clean clothes again! I have spent most of the last week and a half schlepping around in my decorating gear.

Hurrah on the house :T You won't regret cleaning your floorboards - we've done ours throughout the house, and they're lovely :D
The Queen has got the right hump, has managed to get her sock off and I can't put it back on by myself so am having to watch her like a hawk.

I knew it - Dusty is Royalty :T Are you Princess Anne  :rotfl: :p

Had to do a mercy dash to school - DS has split his trews - he had his rucksack over his bum and wouldn't show me :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Luckily he was able to laugh about it ;)

Been out in the garden harvesting more stuff - tomatoes, courgettes, apples, cucumber, aubergines, squash, peas, beans :D Will make a veggie risotto tonight.

I'm sat MSNind DH, so will do a HHC when he goes to bed ;)

    See you later, Penny. x

I had a very long break with lunch and a nap afterwards, followed by a cuppa to help me come round. DS2 has also finally woken up and eaten half a ham toastie - he seems almost back to his normal self.

No more excuses now - HHC in living room and then  the dining ROD.
