Great news Soappie:T:T:T:T mucho congrats to the Soappie family .
Man been to measure up, good price plus he said that the guys would shift the heavy furniture so may get the living room done at same time. It does need decorating but this could wait, new carpet would be lovely and at the ripe old age of 41, the very first time I've had new carpet in the home I live in.
Also binned some kitchen rubbish.
Done 2 washloads.
Wiped cupboards down.
Made lentil soup.
Going to pay for carpet and arrange fitting day. Back later. xDFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

Took a longish lunch break, cos I needed it! Shelled some dried up flageolet bean pods from the garden for the beans inside, and popped them in a tray to make sure they are really dried out before putting them in a storage jar. Did 1lb in weight! Feeling quite pleased with the return on my £2 pack of seeds (we've eaten them fresh all Summer, frozen some and now got some to a) cook and b) plant next year).
Back to the Living Room. I *can* finish this afternoon. I *can*.....

Do the council not collect bulky items and take them to tip? Ours do but there is no guarantee on when they will come. I have a bed to go soon.. my mattress is fairly new to me so can freecycle and I have all the garden stuff to sort through.
I have been christmas shopping.. got loads of books for the chillies.. just trying to decide what my 12 year old girly would like.......LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Have you checked out the carpet place down my street? They are pretty cheap and have the same suppliers as all the major carpet shops without the overheads and the fitter they use comes recommended.. by me...LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0
