Gap hooded fleece 50p
Next t-shirt 20p
Wooden teddy picture bookends £1.50

Wooden bead toy (like you get at the doctors but smaller) 50p

I'm really pleased with what I got today and glad I went despite the weather.I must remember that "Money Saving" is not buying heavily discounted items that I do not need. :hello:0 -
A bit of a hit and miss today at CB-managed to get:
- a brown Next long sleeve maxi-50p (yes I know, maxi seasons over, but hoping to wear it with a chunky cardi, you always find something after you REALLY wanted it!)
- accessorize beaded pink bag-wasn't sure about this but felt sorry for the fella who'd been in the cold since it was pitch black!-50p
- a black pic frame-50p
- 2 rolls of wallpaper(for lining draws)-£1
- foil roll thing to put behind radiators-£1.50 (its really cold in the living room already!)
- 4 sheets/duvet covers (decorating) -£1
- BN letterbox cover-£1
- BN wallpaper pasting brush-50p
- BN long screwdriver-£1
Also noticed a pattern in young male sellers-they're more likely to accept your bargaining offers! HTH someone
Hoping to go to 2 CSs tomorrow, maybe three, I'll update soon.
Hope everyone else had good finds.:)0 -

Did manage 2 carboots yesterday, there where only about 10 stalls at the first one but it had been moved indoors due to the weather.
pottery honey pot & spoon - 50p
The second one was much better,it is one that is permanently on indoors all year round but hadn't been to it for well over a year because it tends to be the same sellers week in week out selling the same old stuff !
Brand new cream round tablecloth - 50p
old fashioned large glass jug - 90p
couple of blue pottery jars - 50p each
Blue teapot - £1.00
4 china teacups with saucers, sideplates and a large matching sandwich plate - £2.50
Blue and white teapot - £2.00
Mini decorative teapot - £1.00
All ready for when my kitchen is re-decorated

Well done on your finds! I've been looking for a teapot for ages and not had any luck. I saw one in a charity shop for £4 but I wouldn't buy because it was a bit dear, then I kicked myself when I got home and realised it was a good make.I must remember that "Money Saving" is not buying heavily discounted items that I do not need. :hello:0 -
I recently found a designer sheepskin jacket for £4! Although the designer no longer does clothes, I bought a silk blouse of hers in the 80s for £80 - so it would have been fairly expensive.... and it almost looked unworn !!
Since it was in a charity shop I thought that they really should get more for it so I paid more and still got a bargain, but didn't feel guilty0 -
Some of my bargains from carboot sales and local independent charity shop;
Phase Eight dress in purple floral RRP £65 = £4
Laura Ashley silk dress RRP £95 = £4
John Rocha pinstriped trouser suit = £3
Next Wool jacket BNWT RRP £85 = £1
M&S Portfolio dress BNWT £29 = £3
Jaegar tee shirt BNWT = £3
Wolford (Harrods label) stockings = £1
Bundle of wool jumpers Next, Monsoon etc. 50p each
Couple of genuine Burberry items = £1.50 sold ebay over £50
Radley purse = £2.50
I've been losing weight the last few months and second hand is ideal for me until I stabilise. I steer towards high end clothing to get some wear and not lose money (usually gain!) when I sell on. I have made some duff purchases though and cut my losses and give to a charity shop.
Recently bought a very good fake Burberry handbag, passed onto a charity shop, who sold it and it's now on ebay! Someone is going to be disappointed
Just finished reading "It's Vintage Darling", I think Goanmad recommended it some time ago. Any other books like that?Saving money right, left and centre0 -
Great news, folks! My bargain hunting and buying tips have landed me VIP tickets to London fashion Week....what shall I wear?

Bag of vintage coloured milinary feathers 50p
1950's white leather handbag with maker's tags and price label attached 80p

oh how exciting Goan, well done! Its been years since I went to LFW but I'd take the opportunity to wear something OTT preferably with a bit of vintage couture or vintage designer thrown in!0

I was thinking along the same lines, Monkey! I won a rather splendid vintage designer label dress off eBay on saturday and it arrived this morning. :j
I've never been but I've invited a fellow blogger I've never met to be my guest so we should have fun.0
