I have just had an envelope luckily find its way to my address with the same problem. The name of the garage I visited followed by my town and fortunately my postcode. Good job it was our usual postie who knows where we live!

Very remiss of them especially bearing in mind the unorthodox method of payment!

Have been on the phone today to ABA - seems it's a problem specific to those clients jobs.

They have said they'll reissue the 2nd jobs payment if I don't get it. So make sure you contact them if you don't receive payment by Cmas Eve - the deadline I've been given.

Thanks for your kind comments about the effort in getting a new thread started - going back, it has been done at varying points,

    For example:

    Part VI at 109 pages
    Part IV at 111 pages

and whilst I haven't posted much under this name, it doesn't mean that I want thanks for it, most were under my previous (very easy for MS companies to identify who I was) user name.

So, these 'friendly' forums are 'owned' by regulars who can't stand for anyone else to do anything helpful, lest they might be seen as not the only people who can possibly be of assistance...

There ain't no pleasing some people... <mumble mumble>

But, to be fair, you've not been helpful (in this instance), you've been an inconvenience.

All I'm saying is, leave it to one of the regulars, please, we'll look after it
  • But, to be fair, you've been very rude about it!

    Thought the forum etiquette shown:

arrow.gif Pls be nice to all MoneySavers. There's no such thing as a stupid question, and even if you disagree courtesy helps.

Maybe some of that courtesy might have been afforded here.

The post I've goted above is the first page on page 90 for me TG!

    Go to:

UserCP -> Edit Options -> Thread Display options (it's about halfway down the page -> Mine's set to 40 per page which is the max.
Thanks, changed to the same :j:beer:

To be fair, I've actually been VERY polite about it.

Rofl @ "very rude" !!!!!!, where do you get off?! I'm not going to wrap it up in cotton wool that you've done something that has caused an inconvenience to me, and may well confuse other newbies (i.e two threads). I've been polite and well mannered, but I still don't agree with what you've done. If you think I've been "very rude" then you've obviously led a VERY sheltered life. What happens if a staff member in a shop doesn't say "thank you, hope to see you again" whilst showing a bit of "tits'n'teeth"? Do you immediately report them to head office and the MSing company for being so very rude to you?!

Grow up and accept that you made an error of judgement. Christ, it's not the end of the world, you made a mistake...an error of judgement, that's all.

Perhaps it would have been more courteous to post and ASK the users of this thread whether/when a new thread was necessary. It was asked a few weeks ago and the 200 page mark was mentioned then.

Some of the long serving regulars (which I'm not) have quite an ownership of these threads and it would have been polite to put forward the proposal first.

And, I think UKMonkey has been quite restrained!

Once more, I thank you for your kind and considered words. It is so refreshing to think that you decide a personal attack is the best way to deal with this matter.

For goodness sake, does it really matter who starts a new thread? No one owns this thread, there are numerous regulars but only certain ones that seem to think being "regulars" gives them the right to throw their weight around!:D Have a glass of mulled wine and chill out, that's what I'm doing!

Just realised that probably no one will see this post anyway as we have a new thread! :rotfl:
  • Hi,
I can see your post & I think the 'new thread' has been cancelled for the time being.:T:T:T

Must admit always glad for everyone else to be taking care of thread,as I wouldn't know how to start a new one :eek::eek::eek::eek:
