Im getting a curve for xmas.

Every effin phone shop ive done over the past month has told me it would be just the job for pdfs.!!

Maybe I should get an i phone.

i think it depends what software they have on. i actually went on re and opened notes on the bold in the phone shop but that was the managers and he obv had better software than what you get on them normally.

tbh apart from aba-i i'm not too bothered as i can get on the other self-allocate ones. and the emails appear like a txt msg so i get the alerts immediately so have been able to accept many more jobs without sitting at the computer all the time! :D

i've just been given a mystery shopping opportunity (not sure if i can mention the same) for an online shop... hint... 'e' shop :) i really have no idea where to start or how much to spend, etc..

Check your allocation info and it will tell you which sections you have to do. Some are just questions about the website you have to look at.

For the searches, just look for things you would buy from that site. For example, if it's a clothing website you might search for a black dress or girls jeans.

Some have a purchase so either buy something you need anyway, or buy the cheapest item you can find.

Some are purchase and return, so buy anything but check first to make sure it's something you can return.
Here I go again on my own....

Evening all,

Do emystery shopper pay the expenses for purchase & refund or does it have to come out of the fees? I have one where I will be out of pocket and earn nothing if this is the case. I can't find the info anywhere. I have emailed them but just wondered if anyone here knew so I can press on with the assignment now. Thank you x

In your allocation notes it will say something like this:
Survey: Fee
£xxx
Section: Purchase (if allocated)
£xxx
Section: Refund (if allocated)
£xxx

So you will receive Survey Fee + Purchase fee + Refund fee if you have been allocated all three parts.

Depending on your choices will determine whether you make profit.

If you were going to purchase something from that particular website anyway then you can class the Purchase fee as discount. If you are returning it then it's clear profit providing the refund procedure is free.

Some clients will enclose postage free labels for refunds or you can take it back free to the store (check in the brief that it is ok to do it this way) and in these cases your refund fee will be all profit. Some clients do not refund postage costs and so those will come out of the Refund fee so less of a profit there, however I have had increased refund fees on occasions which reflects this. There's always those gyp jobs that might coincide so that can help to maximise the profit!

Hope this makes sense.

I can open pdf's on my BlackBerry, but they're so tiny it's not worth it and when you zoom in, it's just fuzzy.

Mind you, I wouldn't recommend a BlackBerry anyway, can't get into Gap or GfK and can't select jobs on RE or Abai, even though you can get in -so waste of time really.

I am lucky that it is supplied through the day job and it does have extra apps on it which helps with the websites. I posted a while back that it does take a bit of getting used to and you have to alter some of the default settings to make it perform to how you want.

Did you get the pressie vicz123 ?

Hi, I have a bank credit today and it says Intl Tx on my statment. Does anyone know what company that is from? The figure is close but doesnt match any of the amounts I was expecting. Im still waiting for some back payments from a few as well so I cant remember one of the amounts from this company, so it might be them.

Thanks for that Rosy, I thought that was the case. I have one job then that is not really worth doing but I think I need to have a quick peep at the others to see what their return policy is. One is fine, free del & return to store. It may be that overall, the fees I end up with are ok if lumped together, IYSWIM.

I have just got the Nokia 5800 and I am really pleased with it. I can access all the sites and view & pick up jobs. The adobe reader I added works well too. It's a great phone (so far, only had it a couple of weeks). I fell in love with it during a TNS job I had in May lol. The SA was a bit too good :o.

These TNS jobs are dangerous lol....I fell in love with a new car on one of their assignments, and just had to have it. It's slightly outweighed the fee and my hubby had banned me from anymore car visits :D.
