  • I keep an A4 book of my work in columns marked...

    date
    company
    assignment
    date due
    notes
    completed
    invoiced
    paid

I used to keep this info. on my PC but is crashed and I lost all my info. so back to pen and paper.
I've also adopted TG's method of recording notes, as I was going through a lot of ink.

The only time I've had to extend an ABA-i job, I got a snotty reply from them saying they'd do it as a one off, but wouldn't do it again...

I did the same once and received an equally snotty reply, telling me exactly where to go

I've noticed a petrol job like this today. I wonder whether it's because it's passed the last date that it can be shopped by??

I had one on my screen for the last 24 hours then this afternoon it went black & available.... spooky.... I didn't want it anyway lol. Picked up 2 more for ABAI today in my area, I presume they must have been released so thank you :D. ABAI money is going into a pot for me, DH & my parents to have a nice meal out at New Year :j. I have done a packet for them this month for a change. The jobs are usually gone by the time I can log in lol.

I have just received an email from a certain HARD WORK company (mentioning no names) about a shop I did for them earlier in the week. The store are questioning some of my responses. The responses are regarding uniform (or lack of). The two staff members who served me were not wearing the specified uniform. if they were, they had thrown scruffy random sweatshirts over the top (which were not uniform - granted - it was cold in the shop but I'm just reporting the truth)
I have given said MS company more information now by reply of email.

My question is, willI now be marked down because they had to contact me? I did after all answer the original questionnaire correctly, indicating Yes/No as required, and there was no facility to eleborate further on the questionnaire.
Also, given this MS company's reputation, am I now likely to be removed from shopping for this client just because I told the truth?

    Hope that made sense!
Thanks in advance for any reponses

I have had this in the past with this company. If you reported it correctly in the first place, email them telling them you are happy to clarify but as you answered it fully in the report, you do not expect to be penalised. I have never been penalised after doing that, but don't be snotty with them, just polite and firm ;)

I mystery shop now and again and now my boss is interested.

She's looked around online and says she's been contacted by someone who emails her from @ukmysteryshoppers.com address. They apparently want money up front from her which I've said should set alarm bells ringing.

    Anyone heard of them?

I looked briefly at this. Alarm bells I have - 1/ Any contact I try to make is met with an automated response 2/ The list of icons for retailers include 2/3rds of clients already available from other clients for free. 3/ After the initial email after 7 days they will slash the price required 4/ There is no defecit of Mystery Shoppers in the UK. This was just from my findings and half an hour searching the net.

I said to her not to part with cash up front. She said a woman's called her two or three times promising her the ability to earn money from things such as driving to work which I find peculiar. That was one of the claims they made.

To me the old adage about if it appears too good to be true, it probably is applies here.

I did just that in the end. They stated that I would be paid this time. Without giving too much away, I was asked if the staff member was wearing uniform. She wasn't, she was wearing a fleece over the top of it with a different company's name on which I could only partly read. Apparently as I couldn't read the whole thing I still had to answer yes, it was uniform. Even though it clearly wasn't.
I suggested they amend their briefing notes to make this clear to other shoppers. They just reiterated "you will be paid this time" quite abruptly!

Grr, hope this isn't going to happen a lot!
