I got an email about these.. which number did you get (or am I not allowed to ask??). I applied for a couple but not sure I'll get them as I've only done 2 assignments for them so far... plus I've been given 2 sites elsewhere... these will be my first ones ever and like you I've never bought any brand new cars ever! Can't even remember when was the last time I entered a dealer... scary but exciting at the same time ;) good luck!

Erm it's not one of the listed circuits, looks like an amalgam of parts of two, and one site which isnt even on any of the lists!
I've only done 4 jobs for them in the past.
It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Just done a shop for RE where I had to 'reveal' and when filling in my report it is asking for receipt image - I dont have one because it was a reveal:confused:

I've got a little doc stored on my laptop that says "This was a no-purchase scenario so no receipt needed" and I upload that each time.

Scary scary, just been assigned a car circuit, will be having a good read of other peoples experiences before I set off on them.
I've not been brave enough to apply for them yet!

Aggh this job is so not paper-friendly! Just had to print two massive 17 page questionnaires, along with briefing notes, letters of authority etc. Only had the printer 2 weeks and ink nearly gone!
(Only occurred to me a couple of days ago to turn the print quality to "draft quality - duh....)
I don't print anything anymore because it was suuuuuch a waste of paper and ink.

I have a hard-backed A4 notebook, and the night before the jobs, I look at the briefing notes and questionnaires online, and, using one page per job, jot down everything I need to do - eg the first thing I write down is "Left" "Right" "In" "Out" "name & Description" and then everything else I need to do. I then fill in the book when I come out of the job.

I then take a photo of the receipt with my camera phone, and email it (together with the photo of the store if necessary) to myself so that when I get home I can quickly download them and save them on the PC, and then I staple the receipt to the page using the mini-stapler I keep in my bag ;) .

I think I've got about 7 full books so far this year! It also means everything is kept in date order so easy to check back if necessary.

I read on here (somewhere!) of a down-loadable excel worksheet for keeping track of records. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I have just started to do the same as I am running out of space to keep all the job notes/questionnaires and leaflet/brochures I was given! It is so much easier to manage with one notebook.

    Second post of the thread.

There’s a spreadsheet designed by ukmonkey - MS_Logger by ukmonkey which is very whizzy with macros, or for a more basic one that will still add up how much tax you owe and keep track of all earnings, then please feel free to PM Josie, but please remember to send your email address.

I've got a spiral bound notebook and do the same as TG but a page per job.

When I type them up, I pull the page out and put it in a polypocket with any brochures or other stuff. I file it in a "calls awaiting payment" folder until I get paid, then I file it under the relevant company in date order. If they ring, I can usually find paperwork within a few minutes.

I only print out essential stuff, which is mainly merchandising/auditing stuff as you usually need to collect data and get the paperwork signed off by store staff,
Here I go again on my own....

I run on the notebook principle too as I find it helps to plant the assignment details in the brain by writing the key points down.
I have a similar filing system to Becles for paid and unpaid ...2 very pretty large boxes! But all in date order.

Don't forget though to write down job numbers and scenarios etc as some companies will periodically check and there is one that stresses the importance of printing off coversheets....although you can find the job numbers etc alongside the payment details but it doesn't give you scenario numbers so always best to jot them down at the top of the page in the notebook.

I have always saved copies of coversheets and questionnaires in files on computer as well just in case....although not sure why as haven't had to ever send any in but the forms are there just in case......

If anyone has done this assignment this week, can you let me know so that I can ask you a couple of questions.

    Thanks in advance.
