  • If this isn't a wind up, I can only think that it's possible that the bottle or can could have been contaminated by rat / mouse urine.
    It's happened before where foodstuffs have been stored outside or in warehouses where rodents have access.....??

    Sorry OP but im finding it hard to believe, ive been ill before but not from drinking a soft drink, that doesnt mean to say it hasnt actually happened
  • Take plenty of fluids and you will start to feel better, I hear flat aldi cola is good for this sort of thing :rolleyes:

    Yep Leptospirosis can be caught by contaminated bottles thats why you should never drink out of them in pubs etc, however I think you can safely rule it out in this case as'cola' bottles(plastic) have a plastic wrapping all the way over them

    Most cases of multi D/V in a house are caused by lack of attention to personal hygeine

    there is an easy way to be sure it is the coke without all the hassle of going to the environmental health people. Wait till you are better and drink some more of it. If you are sick again, you have your answer. :p
