I think A BUDGET SHOP COLA Poisoned me and my mam, but don't want it to be libelous

If you and your mother have been in contact with each other and one of you contracts a d&v bug, it is almost a dead cert that the other will get it. You could equally blame a teabag or the toothpaste that you use. I think perhaps you should eat some humble pie (and hope that doesn't give you d&v) and not make rash conclusions about the origins of your d&v without conclusive evidence!!!!!!0

Never heard of anyone getting food poisoning from a fizzy drink before.
think you best be carefull what you say as you have no proof that it's what made you sick. If you and your mum have been together then perhaps you just have the same tummy bug nand it is not related at all to the coke0 -
Definitely, categorically you need to change the title of your thread

I'd be surprised if you caught food poisoning from a cola drink. Cola has a low pH and is too acidic for bacteria to grow in it.Here I go again on my own....0

Altogether now folks, you know the tune:- "money, money, money" !0 -
You would have thought the OP would have posted back since it was a distressing time for them0

It sounds very unlikely to me as I've never heard of anyone getting food poisoning from soft drink but it is of course possible it was contaminated.
If you can persuade EH to test the cola then do so otherwise a chemist should be able to arrange to test it at your expense. You would then be able to include the cost of the test in your claim against ALDI along with the cost of any losses you have suffered plus a little for inconvenience (or incontenence in this case!). If you're that sure then it be worth paying to have it properly tested. However, it is more likely that you picked up a bug of some sort than it is to be food poisoning from soft drink.0
