Thanks for the reply and sorry to be a pain! Unfortunately these codes didn't work... The phone was originally locked to Vodaphone but when I put my Virgin Mobile sim in it comes up with T-Mobile Uk...I can send and receive texts and calls with my sim in, but I can't access my voicemail...I assumed the phone needed unlocking, but maybe not! Any advice?

when youve run out of tries it should say "cannot undo restriction"

the phone is already unlocked
you just need to set your voicemail number
im not sure what it is but it should say on virgin site or on the leaflet that came with the sim card.
or phone virgin cust services and they may be able to send the settings to your phone
