you can unlock it, but this is a single band phone so will only ever work on the freq it was made on
ie orange/tmob if gsm 1800
or
o2/voda if gsm 900

i need the network it is on now to unlock

I don't know if I am being completely thick, but nothing happens when I key in the unlock code.

I have no sim in the phone. When I turn it on, I get the message 'insert sim card' I ignore this and enter the code (tried both). When I get to the end nothing happens - the code number just stays there. Do I need to do anything else?

Hi,

I'm trying to unlock an old 7610 from orange to use with a 3 sim as I lost my 3 phone.

I tried three codes so far and the third one (which has a +1 at the end) got the message "phone unlocked" but I still get "sim card rejected".

The second code I tried was a +7 one but didn't work.
I haven't got the exact codes though as my browser just crashed, typical IE!!

The IMEI is 353387002371601

If anyone is able to help that would be great as I want to be careful with my last two attempts :-) Or maybe this phone will not work at all with a 3 sim?

enter the code with a non orange sim in
make sure you put the #PW+ in as well but not the spaces
