Well, I hope everyone had a good day yesterday, and that you are not nursing sore heads this morning

My day went reasonably well - all the cooking came together at the right time, no disasters, cleared up as I went so no nasty pans to do today etc.

Santa was kind to me and brought me my little telly for the conservatory that I really wanted, plus the usual bottles of wine, biscuits, smellies, scarves, and things. There was not one gift that is not nice, so I was very lucky.

I had used some of my christmas bonus to buy the rest of the family a Wii - finally they have a games console........needless to say, they spent the day doing virtual skiing rather than the real thing, and were very excited, because they had no idea about it.....

By the time everyone went home last night my feet were killing me as I had not sat down all day, so after a quiet half hour or so on the sofa it was off to bed, where I slept like a log.

Today DS and I are off to the football, which is always a good atmosphere on boxing day, then the traditional what-shall-we-cook-with-the-turkey-leftovers dinner conundrums will start - we have a huge amount left so will not be short of meat for several days/weeks/months!

I hope you all have a good day today. Off to scratch now....I was a little disappointed that there was no double scratch on Christmas day.....ah well, I will be grateful for the 10p that I did get!

    Happy Boxing Day xx

    Thanks FF!

The ice is finally thawing out here, so hopefully we will have a milder day. My only negative (it is the only one, but it is a biggie) is that the car is in "limp home" mode.......so I will have to take it in to be sorted - the car computer was reset just before Christmas eve to see if the dashboard lights went off, but we have lost the "pick up" and so there is obviously something wrong with it.......when OH went to pick up my Nana yesterday, he couldn't get more than 40mph out of the car........not good.

    Ah well.......

Sounds like a lovely day hypno. Bad news about the car though, the same thing happened to mine - hope it's not terminal :(

We got a Wii too. It was rather alarming to hear little DD shouting "Kick him!!" this morning as they were boxing

Happy Boxing Day to you too (how apt!:rotfl:) x
