I would like to be below £20k by the end of the year.....but that will depend on so many factors that I may be way off the mark! It would be lovely to start 2010 at that sort of level but I will be there by 2nd Jan anyway, due to the 1st Jan payments that come out automatically, so I wouldn't have to wait too long whatever happens......
True, but it's psychological: new year = fresjh start.
I hope it happens for you, Hypno.
I want to start the new year with my overdraft paid off. I think I will have to do a fair bit of osorting out between now and then. :rolleyes:Please call me 'Pickle'

That sounds great, Hypno - so exciting to think you'll soon be sub £20k. Any chance the matched betting will let you do it befor the New Year, or is that being *too* optimistic?2023: the year I get to buy a car0

lol, too optimistic.......nice thought though.
The facts are:
I still need to find £1427.61 for the ski pot.......
I still have christmas food and some presents to buy......
I might get a christmas bonus, but of course it is not ever guaranteed. That could be (judging by previous years) £1000-1500 so would sort the skiing out, but if it doesn't appear, I have to have a rethink.
December's paypacket without the bonus would be average rather than super because of November's figures on which our monthly bonus is calculated.
I am due in about £40 from various MSE things - not a huge amount, but it helps.
And most importantly, I am away for a week, so lose a whole week of scratchcards, meaning I miss out on the potential for about £3.20
So...if we get a good bonus, and a better than expected paypacket, I might just be able to scrape through. If we don't I have to have a radical re-think.
I shouldn't really be counting on the bonus.......but I amSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Ah..... I see what you mean
In my enthusiasm for your df date, I sort of forgot that Christmas comes before the New Year.
And those scratchcards..........thats a *lot* to miss out on, Hypno..... are you sure?2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

sent you a pm hypno.
thankfully BB is still going for me, and OH has actually now won something so i don't feel guilty for him being down the initial investment.
I'd also love to be under £20k by the new year (i pay 1k automatically so 'just' 300 to find, was thinking if quidco comes in it would be more achievable but just sussed that the next payment won't be due actually until Jan so it won't count. Lets hope i do a bit better with BB before it ends next week, not sure almost £300 is achievable but will give it my best shot at winning it.0 -
