    I see your point hiphouse......

But I don't put ANY money in, I only play with free money in bonus bucks that can't be withdrawn as cash, and the freebie games - the only time I deposit money is to top it up to the minimum required level for withdrawal - I don't even spend my winnings if they are only a £ or two.....

.....and that is the way I would advise anyone else to do it - even though the returns may be lower, they are also safer.

I would hope that anyone who has a tendancy towards gambling would stay away from such sites as a matter of course...

Hypno, you're so right - the £21 is a good sum - two weeks groceries for me :j

However, with no lift in the flats (I'm on the fourth floor) and no car to carry the 18 boxes to the venue (and 12 back home again) I don't think I'll be doing a tabletop again. Think I'll stick with online selling... the feeling that I've lost 7lbs in weight in one morning hasn't swayed me into thinking I should do this every month :o :rotfl:

Ah, the stairs puts a different slant on things :rotfl:

So, my fault, why oh why am I so disorganised and chaotic!

If I were to guess, I'd say probably because you work full time, run a home, drive 2 teenagers all over the place supporting them and guiding them to becoming formidable peeps like their Mum. Then in your spare time, you're teaching the World and his wife to become DebtFree.....
Thanks for the ideas for where to stash the cash at the table top sale today. I made £21 profit which I'm grateful for since hardly anyone turned up due to gale force winds and pelting rain

£21 is more than you had this morning! - bad luck over the weather though Hiphouse, it has been horrid. Good Luck with the bingo ;)

I got caught with that this morning. Won £10 on BB, then got giddy, spent another £2 and then could hear your wise words ringing in my ears - IF YOU WIN - STOP PLAYING Argghhhh!!

I see so many people winning nice amounts of money -it would be easy to think that I could be one of them, but the truth is I would probably lose far more than I put in....so for me the best thing to do is to play risk free only!

The way I see it is......if I win £2, I have to put £20 in to withdraw £22, which means that £20 is out of my bank account for, say 5 days. That means that I am still getting a return of 10% on my capital invested over a 5 day period......can't be bothered to work out the annualised APR, but it would be pretty high :D

So, £2 may only be £2, but show me any bank that will offer 10% per WEEK in interest, and I will shift away from bingo and open an account with them instead!

Until then, glglgl all and tyvm :D

Hey, it's only in the last week I have won anything at all - since I joined BB.
I also stick rigidly to the principles of playing with "free" money.

I followed the advice on the Bingo thread and do the scratchcards on 2 sites every day, but play a game of bingo a week to keep my account open - using the scratchcard winnings.
This morning I played 40p of my Virgin scratch winnings (usually I play 10p) and won £85!! I have never won a cent on there before.

I am very cautious that lightening rarely strikes twice and won't expect to repeat it. I have though gambled £1 from scratch winnings (on the £1 scratchcards, as Bingo is so boring) and won £2, but that's it.

spending a £ of your scratch winnings isn't the same as spending everything, or depositing your own money to play - if you are just playing from time to time so that you don't draw attention to the fact you are just playing free scratchcards all the time, then that isn't gambling, that is being sensible in order to keep the loophole open!

And if you can win such a large sum of money in the process then all well and good :T

well done macgirl on the £85 win

I agree hiphouse that gambling is not a way to pay off debts - totally. Before mse I had never gambled on bingo, casinos etc. But the way I do it now as hypno says is to use cashback site loopholes to make money and other schemes like that that work. If I had lost the £10 I deposited and played thro on Kjp - then that would not have meant I couldn't eat, pay my bills etc it would just have been a shame. As it is I won the money back on a free game and now look like a legit player. I also have a little herd of free daily scratchcard sites that I do that net me between £30 and £50 a month.... not bad considering the effort of the table top sale!
