Seaxwyn, although we talk about our LBM being the initial thing that brings us to MSE, or to start seriously tackling our debts, I do think it is only the start of things, and as we progress (as surely we are!) we have a series of true LBMs as we reach each level..... If we didn't have those additional LBMs, we would make very slow progress I reckon!

Any joy with the passport?
I've been known to throw mine in the bin before now!And in the days when I used to travel frequently - that was not very funny.
They are so expensive now too. You'll have to set DS on bingo to pay for it! :rotfl:0 -
I've not yet looked for the passport again - will do so this week......It is my fault I think. DS had to take it into the building society as ID for a new passbook......and when he had finished in the building society he came to my office to give me his passport to look after.....and it hasn't been seen since
I HAVE turned out my desk drawers, briefcase, and all known handbags, but without success......so that means I must have brought it home and put it somewhere on its way to the proper keeping place ie the kitchen cupboard
So, my fault, why oh why am I so disorganised and chaotic! So, if I have to get a replacement, I will have to foot the cost, because DS did the sensible thing in giving it to me in the first place!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. It is not tooooo bad - I have just checked on the passport service website - £49 to replace DS passport......and given that he would have to renew it in 18 months anyway, it is not going to be too painful, as the new one will last the full 5 years.

Thanks for the ideas for where to stash the cash at the table top sale today. I made £21 profit which I'm grateful for since hardly anyone turned up due to gale force winds and pelting rain  A nightmare carrying all the stuff back up two flights of stairs again though... there's rather a lot left
At a rate of less than £3 ph, the table top sale wasn't a great return... particularly since I won £2 on BB this morning and that took about 20 seconds of clicking and then I walked away to make a cup of teaToday's experience has truly made me appreciate the free money I've won on the bingo.
Hope everyone has had a good day and has a lovely evening.0 -
£21 is £21, and with the weather conditions as they were, that's not a bad profit :T

Reading back through the posts, Hypno I really like your idea to include the mortgage since it fits perfectly where you are right now. As ever, your journey also makes a lot of us think about where we are with our own finances. Thank You :A
There's been a LOT of talk about b1ngo on this site for the last week or so. I'm not sure how to put this, but I'm a bit concerned that some people might be putting themselves at risk, assuming they will win back any money deposit - which isn't guaranteed. I guess I'm a bit wary of gambling. I know people aren't stupid and I know if you play the system you don't risk any of your own money (thanks to cashback sites)... but I also know that some people can get into trouble with gambling, without realising it's a problem until it bites them hard. I guess I'm just saying - be wary, be careful and be grateful if you win!0 -
Hypno, you're so right - the £21 is a good sum - two weeks groceries for me :j
However, with no lift in the flats (I'm on the fourth floor) and no car to carry the 18 boxes to the venue (and 12 back home again) I don't think I'll be doing a tabletop again. Think I'll stick with online selling... the feeling that I've lost 7lbs in weight in one morning hasn't swayed me into thinking I should do this every month:rotfl:
