My ISP doesn't have call centres, they have a freephone number that is answered within 3 or 4 rings, no menu to go through, I just talk to a UK based technician almost immediately.0 -
Ive been with TT for 2 months now, not had any problems, the forum's are excellent, they answer questions quickly, they have tweeked my profile so i get the best speed possible ( i have heard the telephone support is hit and miss tho !)
I pay just over £17 for up to 8meg + free local calls 24/7, free calls evenings + weekends + 0845/0870, free caller display, free voicemail, but as you can see below i get from 9-10 meg 24/7 , bering in mind the test below is in peak hours i think its pretty good !

For an extra £2 per month we can have calls to the EU, ie Spain etc. That takes us up to £27.74! I'm sure they said it was the Essentials Package to me so presume it has gone up during the time you have been with them.
With the free new re-router if we change our minds after 14 days we can still keep it - sounds good to me!
:)
I've been with Talktalk just over a year, and I got a phone call about the Free Local/International Package + 12MB Unlimited Broadband + Free 0845/0870 Anytime Calls. But I'm being charged £28.24, instead of £27.74! Why is it different? (I know it's only 50p difference, but I'm tight, this is MSE
)!
I also queried my previous bills, as I'm charged £2.50 a month for Caller Display; a friend told me it's now free. They've taken the £2.50 off now. They couldn't tell me when the free Caller Display started though. I hate sneaky charges.
Edit: After having a read, it's their new Privacy Pack, which started around July. You can select Free Caller Display yourself if you sign in My Account> Landline, Manage My Services> and tick Privacy Pack, Free Caller Display, then Submit.0
