I need to go to Aldi, it's only downstairs but need to get showered/dressed 1st and make myself look a bit presentable. Have a massive list for today but can see me doing hee haw. Also a Come Dine with Me fan and generally time toenail painting/ironing/pampering around that! Not very rock and roll today are we. LOL

Hi all, have been missing for a while as been so busy, was able to lurk at work but couldn't get on, real life has been interfering. icon7.gif Hopefully things are back to normal now.

I have weighed myself and all the stress and rushing around has meant a weight loss of anther 1lb which takes my total to 10lbs:j. Not sure if I will reach my Christmas target but I will keep plodding on. Am slightly alarmed as I don't feel any slimmer but I think another 10lb loss should make it much more obvious.

I think I will truly believe I have lost weight when I can fit into my nice clothes. I keep thinking of the book I read a year ago which was called something like "how to get a man when you are 40," in which it said that if you are married with children it is fine to slob around in whatever is comfortable as you are not trying to impress anyone but if you are single you must never look like you have given up. At the moment I am sure I look like I have given up. :o Nothing fits properly, I am overweight, I don't make enough effort with my hair, I don't wear make up. I must sort myself out! I know when I have lost more weight I will feel more inclined to make a proper effort but at the moment it feels a bit pointless:o.

I have been paid and so I have been able to make a few payments, I won't update my ISA and house totals until the end of the month but I am very pleased so far and I still have some payments to come out and I will carry on with making a payment a day. Am hoping to be completely debt free this time next year and to have a nice amount in my sig. Am excited to see if I can meet my £20k target.:D

Hi sarah and welcome back :D

:j to the weightloss - well done you :A Please don't take this as a criticism - but why wait until you feel slimmer to make the most of yourself  Remember -you are F Fabulous and deserve to feel that way. I honestly think if you make an effort with your hair, make up, clothes etc you will start to feel better about yourself - and it will spur you on with your weightloss because you enjoy feeling good :D

    Take care

    Hi sarah

Glad you're back. I've been lurking a bit aswell. I agree with Shoe Gal though, a bit of pampering makes you feel so much better about yourself and gives you a bit of a boost. I think Shoe Gal's right, it will probably spur you on with your weightloss. It doesn't have to be expensive. I dye my hair at home, moisturise, do the odd face mask, intensively condition my hair, I've got a microdermabrasion kit I sometimes use, I go to the local college for cheap pedicures and manicures. It's nice to go out with a bit of a spring in your step because you know your hair/make up/nails look fab :D

PS. Well done on the weightloss :T
Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending

I know it isn't criticism, I know exactly what you mean:A. I was thinking the same thing while I was typing it. The main problem is that I do not have any nice clothes that fit properly, hopefully I soon will:D I am not going to spend anymore money on clothes for a good while, not while I have things which will fit me with a bit more effort. I think, as was discussed on here ages ago, I have the clothes, shoes etc for the lifestyle I want, rather than the one I actually have. :o

I know I need to make more of an effort but I just can't motivate myself to do it. Am going to do the massive wardrobe declutter that I have been planning to do forever in a while, I think if I can get rid of some of this clutter I will feel better. There may be things lurking in there which actually fit me:D.

Sarah, I totally agree with the girls. You have to make yourself feel nice NOW, not wait until you've lost weight. It's not about men, it's about you. One of the girls at work has just split with her man and hasn't even shaved her armpits since. She told me there was no point as no one would see them!!!!! This must be the same logic as some women have for wearing greying underwear. NO NO NO. If you look carp, you'll feel carp.

I'm one of those people who never leaves the house without make up and always try to make the most of myself. I do it all on the cheap though, haircuts by trainees, make up when Boots has an offer on, home pedis etc. It just makes you feel so much better and you know when you're looking good.

Look after yourself and be F fabulous!

Oh and Sarah, ebay is doing free listings this weekend. Why not list some old carp while it's free and get that out of the way? I'm not criticising either, just hate to see a good woman down!

Thanks gwen, agree with both of you, I am going to get this place tidy and then I am going to do my nails, have water and vitamins and maybe a face pack, I remember a while ago I was at least trying to do one thing a day to make me feel better even if it was just making sure I had plenty of water, so I will try to get back into doing that.

It makes me feel much more in control if I feel I am doing something useful, even if it's just £5 a day to cc, decluttering or filing my nails, just something in the right direction. icon7.gif
