After having a day to think about it there seemed to be something else going on. She seemed a bit reluctant to go out when I got to her parents house to pick her up but she was dressed for the cold even though it was quite mild outside. I think she is just used to totally getting her own way & has no idea how to deal with it when she doesn't.

Welcome to the wonderful world of womanhood :D

I love footie - and have been told my knowledge often puts blokes off - talk about can't win

Agreed. I opened my mouth at work the other day. big mistake. five guys just STARED at me and what I said wasn't wrong. Grrr.

(Am reading back rather alot so bear with me (is that the right bear?)

    xx

You ladies are talking to the wrong blokes. I spent my lunch break yesterday in a conversation about the previous nights match with a Villa fan who'd also been at the game & a fellow Sunderland exile who hadn't been able to make it, both women. Sunderland does have the highest number of women season ticket holders in England though so maybe we're just more used to women knowing about football.
I'm with SBC with the whole football/shopping thing. I love going to the football wether it's a premiership side or my local team. I just wish I knew the rules :o.

    Hmmmm,

    Likes football
    Doen't like shopping
Works in a pie shop

I think I might have to move to Barrow ;)
  • Blimey, you lot were chatty last night - just had to catch up on 3 pages!

Make Up - thanks, you're so lovely! the sewing went quite well, it took 3 hours but it gave me time to watch a dodgy Arnie film, so that wasnt a problem. As long as I did it strong enough so my dress wont fall apart while I'm in it I will be happy.

FireFox - what is Flexibar? I need some sort of indoor exercise for the winter, I hate going out in the cold, but I dont like bouncy aerobics type things...any recomendations?

So sleepy this morning - need caffine! But its only 1 day till payday - woohoo!

  • One day till pay day what a good sentence. :)

Today I have eaten a bowl of cheerios and eaten two cookies (curse Maryland BOGOF deal)

I am going to have toast at 11.30

and Lunch most likely soup dinner tonight will be the pasta if it is not out of date
Going to do some housework (the horror), walk to work (big horror) and then come to iron whilst watching Sky.

    Question for the day

What kind of future moves you and inspires you?what will you do TODAY to get that future?

    Nevertheless she persisted.

Hmmmm.....ok, in my little dream of the future....I have an interesting museum-y type job (curator of the Near Eastern bit of the British Museum might be aiming a little high but a girl can dream right?) and a cosy little flat just for me.

So today, I have done a free scratch card (10p towards my deposit :rotfl:) and I will do a Dooyoo review later. This week, I have applied for voluntary work at my local museum to try and get my CV in shape for chasing the dream, and I cant really do more than that for a few days at least.

Thanks Buffy, thats a really useful little exercise!

  • thanks CaroleM xx

I suppose I should try and answer it too!

My inspiring future involves me working part time, owning my own house and renting it out whilst either living with Mum or my sister.

So today to get that I am getting free bingo cash, marking my books (to stay in my well paid job to save the deposit!)looking for stuff to declutter and give away/sell to free up space for the new house.

Basically a wobbly pole, that tones up your upper body and abs area at the same time as you are doing lower body work!! :j You can get results from as little as ten minutes three times a week. You will find you get a bit warm even tho you are not jumping about. http://www.flexi-bar.co.uk/

I love it enough to teach it, and I have the busiest class in my (teeny weeny) gym. My ladies do an hour once a week, and we can see changes in their bodies. :D Don't get a fake bar, I've tried two and they were useless. This one was invented by a physiotherapist, I believe as was the BodyBlade which is the US equivalent.

Either get a Flexi-bar (more expensive, easy to store, comes with DVD) or a Swiss ball (very cheap from supermarket) plus a DVD off Amazon. You might catch a FB show on the shopping channel - the team that present are 'famous' fitness instuctors.

I see me, my little rented flat and lots of friends, fun and food ( but not so much that I am the size of a bungalow!). Today I saw my bro and his boyf who are always good fun round my table. X

Sometimes it's hard to walk in a single woman's shoes - that's why we need really special ones!
