Lol, just caught up. Gwen me and my friend were talking about this the other day. In my old life i.e when I worked overseas I always bought lovely make up and was a huge Clinique fan ....today I'm off to buy a Rimmell concealer after my last one ran out over a week ago and I had to poke bits of it out with a cotton bud for a fortnight before that!!!! Never mind one day I will again be a valued customer of Clinique and Lancome and Clarins and ...you get the picture!'The road to a friends house is never long'0

Oh dear.. Sounds like everyone is tempted at the moment. I have my birthday coming up in june but have organised extra shifts at work... so that will pay for the copious amounts of macorons, petit fours and champagne I have planned for my marie-antoinette inspired masked birthday. Was a little disappointed with my 21st last year, so I'm compensatingLBM - June 2014 DFD Goal: June 2016 (28th Bday!)

misslauren - what a fab birthday idea! Am now dreaming of a coffee macaron (and very tempted to go over to Waitrose to see if they have any in the reduced section...drool).
And for the (virtual or real) spenders, I'm having the opposite problem at the moment. One of my clothes rails has buckled (it's been under considerable strain), but I just can't seem to bring myself to buy a new one. I've been bidding on eBay, but can't manage to go for that final bid that would secure an item. In the meantime, the clothes rail is leaning further and further forward and is now propped up on a shoe rack. If it finally collapses, I probably won't be able to open the door into the room. Just how stoopid am I?

Evening/Night/Morning everyone! I have just been lurking as my dissertation hand-in is just a week away and the pressure is building. I'm 6,000 words in and it's going pretty well though. Still got another assignment to start but I'll worry about that next week!
I haven't been posting because my loan came in on Monday so I immediately spent £700 on rent and over £200 on debt repayments to various people. I haven't had time to go shopping either so I've been buying lunch plus energy drinks and chocolate to keep me alert in the library!
Lauren: Good luck with the party, sounds awesomeI had my 22nd in Oz and it was, quite frankly, one of the lowest points of my life to date! I'm sure yours will go with a bang!
It's nice to hear that those of you with new partners are having a good timeMy lady friend has been away for a month now but she gets back on Saturday so I'm splurging 2wks drinking money on taking her to dinner!
