    Green I am. Green as Kermit. Totally and completely green with envy. :D

    Still haven't done any eBaying. Bad OH came home and persuaded me to go out to dinner instead. Went to an African chain place called Mogo for spicy chicken skewers and the most amazing fruity iced drink ever with cherry juice. Drool.

    Souk, I want friends like yours! Can't say any of mine have called to ask if they can come cook me dinner. Especially the male ones. The most I could hope for is that they thrust a takeaway menu at me and maybe offer to pay if I looked doleful enough :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

  • Hello all, catching up, well done to everyone having a frugal time.
    I spent £28 on sat for food, did really well. My daughter was down friday eve till sund eve. After asda on sat we went up to the hills about 20 mins away in car with roof down and stopped and had ice cream in front of the wind farm and the pub. Went to visit my parents and dad is better and then sunday stayed in all day, did my ironing. Dropped my girl off home at 6 and then went back to my house for 7 and my bf was waiting for me as arranged. We went for walk on canal and everything is going brill. best friends and more, we are matched. Wed night I am at his for tea and then sun and mon next week we are spending time together, barbecue etc and day out.
    My daughter has chatted to his daughter on facebook and his daughter chats to me on the phone too.

    Really chuffed. A future is there for both of us we just know it. :rotfl:

    It's quiet round here, where is everybody? I nipped into John Lewis today to return a scart lead that it turns out I don't need after all. Oh dear...somehow I ended up in the beauty department...no idea how I got there...:huh:;) Wandering round all the counters I remembered what life used to be like :( I wished I were rich, but I'm not. I was very tempted to think 'S0d the house, treat yourself and have a blowout'. I remembered the days of returning from the shops with lots of bags of exciting things... In the end, I came away with Waitrose moisturising shampoo and conditioner (recommended on the Health and Beauty board) and a tube of Tisserand soothing skin balm that I was curious about. Not bad I don't think, considering that mentally I bought:

    3 new perfumes
    2 lipglosses
    A load of Frederic Fekkai and Kiehls hair stuff
    Lancome cleanser and moisturiser (with accompanying free gift :p)
    Eve Lom cleanser and rescue mask
    A £20 scented candle
    A pair of Marc Jacobs sunglasses

    :o:o:o It was really tough to walk away from all the nice stuff :o My normal approach is to reason with myself saying 'You'd rather have a nice house'. However tonight a voice popped up saying 'F*ck it, have fun :D'. I resisted, but it was hard difficult :D:p:o

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Well done you! :T

    I'm going to find May tough - it's my birthday month and I always seem to think that gives me carte blanche to spend all month long - lots of presents to myself!!!

    The list of things I want is about as long as your mental list - except most of it is expensive furniture, a phone, some GHDs (even though my hair is pretty straight anyway and I use my current straighteners about once or twice a month!), clothes (always), shoes (always)... and anything else that suddenly takes my fancy... a tropical holiday would be nice :rotfl::rotfl:

    I was hoping to have enough survey point for a John Lewis voucher, but given your experience, that might not be such a great idea!!!
