Hello all, am poorly:mad: Have had nothing to eat in the last 2 days as I really can't face food at the moment and am surviving on fruit juice. I hope this all pays off when I get on the scales on Sunday:rolleyes: I hate feeling sick:mad: I don't want to ring in sick as I have next week off. Grrrrrr:mad: I had better be at least 4lbs lighter on Sunday or I will be most annoyed:mad:

Am most alarmed at the thought of having a family tradition of getting a wedding dress for your 18th, I don't know that an 80's dress would be something I would want to get married in:eek: plus it would have to be taken out considerably to make it fit:rolleyes:.

Lula, loved the popping the wing mirrors in the pint:rotfl:

    Today's list:
    • coins in piggy
    • £2 coin in pot
    • read papers online
Can't really do much more as it may involve venturing too far from the bathroom.
    Pay/save £20k in 2010 £5888.75/£20,000
June Mini target 0/5lbs Total 23/40

    Evening ladies
sorry to hear you're feeling unwell Sarah...lots of vitamins, fluids and sleep and you'll be ok in no time.

I would like to ask your opinion ladies.
In my mission to move out by the end of January i am trying to lower my cc bills as much as possible (not doing that well but am making tiny dents. i've even frozen one a la shopaholic stylee i couldn't face cutting it up:o)
I had set a bit of money aside to get a laptop (not new of course) ready for my move since i don't have one and it will be necessary to keep lurking on here:D and surfing is my new thing since i came to my senses and stopped partying like a teeny bopper every weekend!
do i go ahead and buy laptop right now or just put money into cc or put aside for rent deposit. I'm not sure what best plan is?

    Hello everyone...

I've not been around for a bit as I've been staying at my Mam's since friday and had no internet access.

Firstly... massive CONGRATULATIONS to Lula on the job front, that's fantastic news, I am sooooo happy for you!!

Secondly thankyou to whoever it was that mentioned 'don't tell the bride' I love that programme and after reading about it on here I've just checked the tv listings and it's on tonite, one I've not seen before. It often brings a tear to my eye. I love weddings, quite obsessed with them infact yet I have no dreams of having my own. Firstly because I'd hate to be the centre of attention and also because I could never trust a man enough to marry them. Shame really because I don't think I'd make the worst wife in the world and I myself am very trust worthy.

I've had a very eventful weekend with that stupid car again... and I've only just fallen back in love with it! IT's been taking me ages to start up and yesterday morning it wouldn't atall so I had to get a taxi to work costing £6.00 and then £1.70 for the bus back. A mechanic came out to it and it started straight away for him I was so embarrassed. He said it happens all the time but not sure if he was just trying to make me feel better.
So... I booked it in for a service tomorrow and was going to drop it off at the garage after DD's guitar lesson as I couldn't arrange for anyone else to take her. After the guitar lesson I tried for 25 mins and it just wouldn't start! I had to call out the AA (I'm covered through my bank account). It;s just been a nitemare of a day. I finish work at 2 yet I'm still sat here in my work clothes and will be until I go and get a bath after Don't tell the bride.

Hope you start to feel better soon Sarah, when I'm ill I just think on the plus side that at least it means I won't be ill again for another 12-18 months. Everyone seems to be ill here at the moment and I seem to have avoided it for the time being, I know my time will come though.

    Hope you're all ok

    Hey Ziggles50,

Sort out rent and CC 1st lady and then try to get a deal from somewhere that involves a free laptop, like a broadband deal or something. You know it makes sense.

Ladies, now what's with the wedding chat? I LOVE being single and have NEVER imagined my wedding day. For me there will be no wedding it's all about me and my life and friends. I'm all about having experiences not things and think that's the key to happiness and BTW less debt. XXX

    Hello!

Sorry to hear you're ill Sarah. There seems to be a lot of nasty bugs going round. Ziggles is right, rest, drink lots of fluids and you'll be better soon.

Ziggles - I'm not sure I'm the best person to advise. Skint_spice is debt free and knows her stuff.

Bowski - Good to see you back! How is nicnacnoo? Haven't see her for a while either. Are you taking the car tomorrow then? I used to have the same thing with my old car...wouldn't start...as soon as the RAC turned up, it'd start no problems. Soo frustrating. Hopefully they'll get it sorted tomorrow...cheaply!!

    How's everybody else doing?

Hi Gwen,How are you doing? Nicnacnoo is ill at the mo, she was off work yesterday.. sweating one minute freezing the next. Hopefully won't last too long. Not sure why she's not been posting coz she's doing brilliantly money wise. She starts on a new budget soon so I've got a feeling she'll be back then.

As for the car..the guy that came n recused it took it straight to the garage, he just parked it outside and the garage already have my spare key as I was meant to be taking the car myself tonite anyways.
Apparently it has something to do with the immobiliser  I have no idea how much it will cost but it's also having a service which is £70 for starters. I spent £100 out of my car saving last week on 3 new tyres and getting the tracking done. It was £142 and my Mam offered to pay it all but I wanted to pay what I could so paid £100 and left myself with enough money to get 6 months tax at the end of the month.

I booked my girlie holiday on Saturday, I've been saving up the money for that too :T So me, nicnacnoo and 2 other lasses are going to Magaluf in March next year for 4 nights :j:j If I hadn't have booked it on sat I'd have used the money for my car so good job I booked it in time (Priorities and all that!)

Skint_spice I hope DS doesn't come down with something, nothing worse than when the kids are ill. What age is he?

When I split with my ex husband due to his cheating I wished baldness and impotence on him. 10 years later he is bald (and not in an attractive way) and also impotent!!!! :rotfl::rotfl:

Wow - respect to you

Sarah - sorry to hear you are not well but as you say there is the slight consolation of weight loss without effort.

I sit here with absolutely no sign of becoming ill & consequently thinner - lets face it that's the only way it's going to happen - I've just about conquered my hobnonb addiction & then I discover chocolate weetabix brownies on OS - DONT look for them - you will gain a stone .

Secret words have been whispered about ( maybe) increasing my hours at job sooner than expected. Apparently one of the bosses wants to give me more 'projects' to work on but as I'm only there twice a week says there's no point as I wont be able to follow through. I mentioned this to DD who was amazingly pleased & supportive & told me that it was a great opportunity & I should go for it, I was very touched but also:confused: she's 10 ... then she said that if I needed to stay later that was fine she would let herself in with a key after school ... ... she must have plans to do stuff while I'm not there
