Talking of mortgages, I could do with finding another fixed rate I think. The house has 'fallen apart' somewhat since I bought it and needs a good amount of work doing to it (the savings target in the sig). I used the four house price valuation tools Martin recommends, but I'm finding it really hard to guesstimate what my house might be worth. I reckon I owe about £75k now, but I'm on the SVR which is currently 4.99% at the moment  I don't know what to do  Dull and confusing pretty much sums it all up makeup, but I hope it goes well.

Feeling very bleurgh today. Just tired, bored and demotivated I think. Thinking about booking some time off work. Jealous of your week off makeup - enjoy it!

how much is your mortgage eco? Mine is now £42,000 - its now at 2.4% variable with nationwide. Its was 6.4% before on a fixed rate repayment which ended october 2009 so I decided to stick with the low rate. I also overpaid by £50 from April 2008 till January 2010 so that must have helped. its over 17 years left on it now.

My mortgage is about £41,000 the fixed rate finishes in December then I think I'm going on variable,I only pay £280 a month then over pay £70, it's cheaper than renting.

I had to stop overpaying as I could not afford it anymore. I started overpaying when I received my redundancy package and then used the money to pay my bills each month totall £700 and also spent around 7k on the house having plastering done and rewire, woodwork, carpet and new fireplace but they were all cheapest.

Course now the thing I do need is a double wardrobe and chest of drawers and bedside cabinets and I just do not have any money to do that.

    Thanks everyone.

I went to Libertys today and ordered some wallpaper samples.....probably should have read some mortgage stuff instead but loving the whole planning the look for my new flat!!!

I'm going to start a mood board soon as have the look in my head and want tosee if works in reality.

I had to have a lie down in my circuits class today as I got dizzy. I think this was payback for eating really badly yesterday and so I think I ruined my blood sugar levels.

I've cancelled spinning tomrrow morning too as I've hurt my foot today and also I'm feeling knackered and need some decent sleep.

    V. jealous of your low mortgage rates. I'm gonna have a shocker I know (7%+) in view of low LTV ratio - as eco says, just gotta take the pain and work with it.

I know in a few years will be better.

I went into work today very briefly - v. v. important meeting with biggest boss of all! Will speak to my manager when I get back about what kind of quid pro quo I'll get for that!
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

And feed my interiors addiction ;)

Hey all, just caught up after last nights frivolities! Off today and going to source a pressie for Mum's 65th on Friday from me and my bro and then I'll buy it on Thursday when I get paid. Also off to a gig thing tonight with a mate.

Make up, how exciting about your flat! You guys are right, it is much cheaper than renting (I pay £525 a month!!!) so go for it!!!

Tracey, hope your date is as good in person. I'm meeting another guy next week hopefully and can start to see friends too as soon as I'm paid. Yippee to that!

    Hello :D

I hate hearing about mortgages, they sound so bloody expensive! I'm planning on stashing away as much cash as possible until I'm about 35 and then buying land and building on it. If I have to take out a mortgage it should be minimal.
