Night night makeup & inkycats
Gwen - am so glad that you have manged to get through all those traumas & live to fight another day, never forget that :A& valued on here as well as in the real world.
Sometimes a personal crisis can really sort through your friends. I've shed a few over the years & although I do regret some of the losses along the way, I now find myself with a handful of genuine & sincere ones who I know I can count on. One of my plans for next year though is to increase those who are 'just for fun'. I think it's quite healthy to have casual & dispensable friends for a year or so alongside the real salt of the earth variety.0 -

Thanks Lula :A It was a very tough couple of years, but it all makes you stronger and I'm proud of myself for what I've achieved. It's safe to say it's not what I had in mind for my life after Uni! Now if I'm healthy, my family are healthy and I have a roof over my head, everything's fine and anything else is a bonus.
Yeah, I am sad to have lost some of them, not so sad about others. My group of friends now, while smaller than they were, are all brilliant!
Me too! I've not been going out too much because I've been saving so hard, but that needs to be remedied. I need to go out and meet people!Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending0 -

Hi all
Season's greeting hope you're all having a fabulous time!
Just wanted to say i agree with Lula (as usual) dispensable friendships can be a life saver- i fell off the 'normal' wagon early last year and went absolutely crazy (not fully recovered yet:D) and had one particular pal (met on internet- she wasn't supposed to be nutso:rolleyes:) who was absolutely wild...it was like balm to my bruised life- we partied and misbehaved like teenagers without a moral compass or conscience:eek: But when i started recovering it was clear to both of us that it wasn't my kinda lifestyle so now we don't even speak...at all...in fact i think she made up a story about moving to Malta (clocked her in Tatco:eek:)
anyhow we all KNOW we need different pals for different things...so go for it..and enjoy the madness (or not) as it comes!Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heavenMatthew 5:30 -
Hi everyone :hello:
It's good to hear everybody being so positive :j Especially after the bad times people have been through. I've just read through the last 4 pages and I had a smile on my face almost the whole time... sometimes because of the humour but mainly just because of how strong everyone is and all the fabulous support people give. You really are a fabulous lot :A
Without a doubt my worst year was 2005 when my ex cheated in me. I am now over him but still nowhere near over being cheated on. In some ways i'm not bothered coz now I can't get hurt again but then in other ways I think its a shame that I'll never be happy with a man.
2009 was a fab year for me and I think 2010 will be as I have alot to look forward to. I'll definitely not be getting out of debt but I'm not too worried about that
I've never really been into footballers even though I love football. As a teenager I had a major crush on Kanchelskis and had my bedroom walls covered in posters and little pics of him
I even remember writing on a poster that his wife was a b!tch
What a stalker I am :rotfl: Now I prefer to perv on the spectators than the players. I'm going to Sunderland on Saturday to watch the football and I can't flippin wait :j:j:j I hope it's another amazing day out like it was last year when we went to Middlesborough. I've got butterlies now
Tomorrow I am travelling down to my Dads once Nicnacnoo's finished work so I don't think I'm going to get chance to log on so if not I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you all for being so wonderful, caring and supportive in 2009 and to give you all my best wishes for 2010...It's certainly going to be a fabulous year!! :beer:Initial Debt July 2020 - £6,772.80

Hi to Ziggles & Bowski,
am about to head off to bed because I'm not as hardcore as you two
Ziggles hope you had fun in your self contained cottage over christmas & thoroughly indulged yourself. Love the story of your nutso friend who emigrated to Malta via Tatco :rotfl: , glad to hear that you are now recovered & back on the sane train for a while, never forgetting that you are also :A .
Relieved I'm not the only one who's hooked up with peeps when going through an 'episode' in my life, just wish it wasnt always men
. I tend to emerge from said 'episode' & wonder why on earth no one did an intervention on me
.
Loving the concept of a moral compass too
Bowski, glad you've had a good year & are full of confidence for 2010, you are truly one of the best peeps I've met here & although I know you are happy & feel safe being single at the moment & that it takes a long long time to recover from man-damage, dont let that stop your enjoyment of perving
Have a fab New Year with your Dad & NicNacNoo
night night

Aww thankyou so much :iloveyou:
And seriously Lula.... death or blindness are the only things that could EVER get in the way of perving so don't you worry about that
