You should definitely get a footballer as a boyfriend. You would be able to talk shop with all his mates and then talk fashion and shoes with all the wags - you would be perfect.I've got my own flat :j:j

Went to a match the other day and was told - you know you're getting old when you start to fancy the manager instead of the players :rotfl::rotfl: Paul Ince in this case

Just googled Paul Ince and wow, he is pretty good looking. Maybe there is something to this football thing after all!
(FYI - I'd put Lenny down as my celeb FWB - I don't think he'd make a good boyfriend)I've got my own flat :j:j

I was out tonight with an old friend (been friends since we were in guides together ), she lives abroad so don't see her often but she has had an awful year with a really carppy boyfriend who totally put her down all the time and in the end her friends did a mini-intervention cos they were so worried about her (he lied about all sorts of stuff) and I felt bad telling her about my year because 2009 has been pretty good to me.
And it made me realise how much fun I've had this year although things haven't been perfect and I've not achieved some my ambitions for the year (eat healthily
etc etc).
Personally for me 2006 & 2007 were horrible years, I was in / out of a horrible relationship that was emotionally draining, I was trying to forge a freelance makeup career and getting nowhere, I had big debts, I wasn't earning much, they were really stressful times. Things started to change in 08 and I am feeling really optimistic and positive about 2010. In fact I can't wait for it to come so I can put my plans into action.
I just wanted to post that because I know some of you F Fabulous folk are having a hard time at the moment and I wanted to say that things will get better. At some point you will see the answer and you will have the power to change things (I know I'm sounding slightly American Self Help Crazy but bear with it)
For me, I made one big decision and it changed so much for me and made things a lot better but maybe for other people it is a series of smaller things or maybe something else but I'm feeling so optimistic about 2010 and I'm hoping I can pass some of this onto everyone else!!
(And also in mid-Jan when I start moaning about aching muscles, not wanting to leave the house for another exercise class and craving chocolate and chips you can remind me of all this......)
Oh dear, your poor friend, makeup. Thank goodness, she has such good friends. Things do eventually turn around (I hope
). 2006, 2007 and really 2008 were really tough for me. I was skint...so skint, living in this horrible house, couldn't see anyway to do it up or get out of the mess I was in. I also lost a number of loved ones and people that were important in my life during that time and had to support a close family member through recurring bouts of severe mental illness. Work was a complete nightmare, I was working for the same manager as I do now, but I had no idea how to say 'No' and as I found out, he will push you as far as he can. Some of my so-called friends let me down, which was really disappointing, although when I look back, I totally 'closed up'. My real friends have always been there though. I reached rock bottom spring/summer 2008 and ended up at the doctors having barely slept for a week, crying all the time...a total mess. My proper friends were fantastic and I realised I needed to cut myself some slack. I've been gradually rebuilding my life since then and I can see a glimmer of light round the corner of the tunnel. If I can get through this, I can get through anything. Onwards and upwards, things DO get better.
