Single and in Debt Part 3- The problem of surplus and excess women

Hey Fab ones,
Not around last night myself (on an all day drinking bender and saw one of my FWB's) to tell you to stop your whinging about being single so glad Lula did it for me!!!
Couples in matching Xmas jumpers snogging under the mistletoe and choosing thoughtful presents for each other are VERY few and far between. Most women put a hell of a lot of effort into doing everything for their men and don't get lots back in return. I always buy myself a wee Xmas present and get ace stuff from the family too. Working in the shop I'll tell you that Xmas Eve is heaving with men buying last minute random stuff for their women and getting in a right fankle!
Anyway can't wait for X Factor. Deffo having a night off the booze as yesterday was a bit debauched. Enjoy your evenings ladies XXX'The road to a friends house is never long'0 -

It was great but not very MSE. Drank loads of champers and had a meal in a very posh resturant (as obviously I can afford that kind of lifestyle!) Aargh! Anyway it fairly cleared up my sore throat!!!'The road to a friends house is never long'0

Hi All, I like christmas and NYE, I'm lucky cos I have a few friends who are single, and I buy myself something for christmas, although at the moment can't think of owt.
Buffy have you seen the thread on sainsbury's basic items, it's quite good, I've been trying a few things, love the popcorn, I've also decided 2010 will be the year I put into practice all the tips I've learnt over the last few years and be a right tight @rse.
And I totally agree about people thinking that I must like been single, the last time one of my friends said here comes miss independant he got a mouthful he wasn't expecting, which went I have to be don't I cos who the hell am I going to prop myself up on.
Back to work tomorrow after a week off and I think the colds back, am almost wishing it was flu.0 -
Where are we all tonight? Probably being more productive than me and not all sat on your backsides on t'internet! Must go and do some wrapping.'The road to a friends house is never long'0

Hey, I've been away for weekend. Saw my sister so spent my time playing with my nieces which is a lot of fun (until you get poked with an elbow - ouch!) My youngest niece (4 mths) loves being lifted up in the air so am sure this has helped my bingo wings.
Managed to get a few more pressies so am almost done although really need to order stuff from amazon so am still waiting desperately for Amazong vouchers to arrive from Dooyoo!!!
I've also been writing soooo many reviews of boring products and can't wait to finish with it all!!!
Still I reckon should manage it by tomorrow or Tuesday. Have hardly anything in the diary this week which is good really as need some time to tidy up and get myself in order for Xmas.
Very interesting reading over the last few pages. I generally don't care about being single and the times when I do wish I wasn't are as follows:
When sick (totally agree with Sarahb)
When coming home from Holiday (would love a b/f with car to pick me up from airport to avoid horrible journey on tube with heavy bags)
To [STRIKE]force [/STRIKE] invite to come with me to gigs or events that no one else will come with me
TBH though, my previous relationships have always had some kind of element of still feeling like being on my own (distance, carppy non-commitment types etc) so it is my default and I'm totally fine with going to cinema on own etc. I also have quite a busy social life and also like spending time on my own so it all works for me. At this point I don't know if I will meet someone. I'm 34 and I kind of think that this is the time when men my age start dating younger womenOr maybe I'm talking a lot of rubbish and this time next year I'll be boasting about my amazingly fabulous boyfriend :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:(is there a pig flying emoticon???)
I'm spending Xmas with family and lucky in that I get on well with them (most of the time) and looking forward to presents, food, chocolates, TV & DVDs, sherry, mince pies, baileys and a turkey & stuffing sandwich with home-made pickled onions on Xmas Day evening!
NYE, I'm going over to a friends house which I think will involve a large quantity of wine and quite a bit of dancing (oh yes, I can dance like Beyonce) in the living room. Probably lots of ridiculous resolutions as well.I've got my own flat :j:j
Now I have to pay the bills
And feed my interiors addiction0 -
PS - CaroleM you have the distinction of being the only person to write a Dooyoo review that has made me think - I want that!
It was your review of that book - I made it yeah! (or something) and is now on my Christmas list!!
And if no one gets it for me, well it'll be one of the first things I get with my vouchers from surveys!I've got my own flat :j:j
