If anyone wants a laugh - have just spoken to my OH and the landlord has phoned him to ask why we are being a pain with regards to viewings.:rotfl: Like - what? My OH told him we were not and the agents were being a pain and that with due notice we would be fine with viewings and that the flat was messy and we would like to show it to its best advantage - to be fair it is a tip and we are not trying to be difficult.
My OH said to me - should I have told him about the boiler which is incorrectly installed and the fact the agents have done nothing about it? My Oh did however tell the LL how useless the agents were with giving notice etc in the past and that we weren't going to put up with it. :TMy OH asked him for details regarding the property and he told us to ask the letting agents - the estate agents took over a week to say our property was under offer and don't tell us anything and the first we have heard from the LL is today to phone up and have a go at us - the cheek of it.

Bookie - get on to your MP again - this is ridiculous and get a complaint in - they are taking the micky now.:mad::mad: and definitely ask Martin to tell the Minsters just how bad it is for you at the moment.

Ok, have made and tried the gluten free bread. It's a bit stodgy, but I might need to put more yeast in it as it may need more to rise. Will need thinner slices and to heat it a little to make the butter melt in and soften in, but it is quite filling. Not sure on the cake yet, but may need to put greaseproof on the bottom next time, as it has got stuck! (I think)

Hi elfen, it doesn't ever rise properly I'm afraid and it's always stodgy, we've tried so many variations on the recipes. The prescription stuff is awful too :(

I know it's difficult to make gluten free bread and people always have difficulty. Saw an article in goodfood about a good loaf though (shop bought ) so will have a look for that for you.

Got it - was mentioned in August's good food magazine - apparently you can get Genius Gluten-Free Bread in brown or white from larger Tescos for 2.49 - the number to ring is 08457225533 - think that's the Tesco number to find out where it's stocked. Good Food said it was a winner but I have not tried it myself.
Oh and a couple of celebs have done gluten free cookbooks I think - was it Phil Vickery? and mabe Anthony Worrel Thompson? not sure - so maybe they have some bread ideas?

I have a thing against spending that much on bread. I mean £2.50! Mine's not the best but it'll do, but ty anyway df..I'll have to try a new recipe...maybe one without 6 tablespoons of oil in it!

I've been cold all day Bookie...so much so that I've spent the afternoon in bed....and very lovely it was too.

I've now been handed a glass of wine and a chinese menu to pick from.

    That sounds good Pooky.
I have to go endure another of my mother's dinners in a minute. Just having a glass to fortify myself!
