Hi Paul, Wake up and smell the coffee, don,t try and defend the indefencable. I posted this 3 days after my fixed 2009 august tariff ended, to Craig, when this happened to me, I am an SP customer still, as soon as I showed them my bill with "freshstart" tariff, they said " cannot beat this " and walked away. They tried to deceive me saying that they had received complaints that some cutomers were being overcharged. They were just TOUTS, why try and TOUT me who was already a customer beggars belief; My nephew worked for a short while doing this for SP, couldn,t hack trying to deceive people. This is why erroneous transfers occur, it,s deceipt, thats all it is.Doorstep touting should be banned;Hi Carmine
In reply to your post, I can only comment on actual occurrences of this type of behaviour and we are only aware of these when customers have contacted us to let us know. In this instance, the number of contacts we have of this nature compared to the number of customers transferring to ScottishPower would indicate that this sort of thing is rare. I'm sure that you can appreciate that I am only able to comment on actual data rather than speculation.
This is why I have advised that any customers who experience this sort of behaviour should contact us, with as much information as possible, as this would enable us to carry out a thorough investigation, with the appropriate action taken following this.
Once again, I can assure you that we take matters of this nature very seriously and we welcome any feedback from customers relating to this matter.
Regards
Paul @ ScottishPower0 -
Here is the deal all door to door sales work on comission.
- it all depends on:
-what usage you use to what is best for you
-whether you think prices will rise (go for capped fixed)
it does not matter what area you are ALL GAS AND ELECTRIC is sold by the national grid at the same price to all companies.0 -
Had 3 instances recently of these sharks trying to con me.
NPower guy at my door telling me that their offer was so good he'd persuaded a lot of my neighbours to switch. When I asked him to tell me who they were so I could go and ask them, he refused. I later found out that no one had signed up to his 'offer'.
Scottish Power guy at my door trying to tell me he could beat my current tariff. When I told him I was with EDF and it's currently cheapest for my usage, he checked the tariffs, agreed with me and then left.
Woman in a Marks and Spencers uniform inside an M&S store yesterday. Selling power from SSE using the M&S name. Told me they had the best service record and were the cheapest. I asked to see the tariffs and found them higher than the ones I'm on.
The common theme here is that each one lied. These people represent their companies so in efect these companies condone lying.0
