Hi there
In my opinion - yes ask them to correspond by writing only, as you have already given your reasons of why you want your refund.
This way you have something to refer to, for example, if you decided to take it to the FOS.
The thing is here not saying they are all like it but they may try talking your hubby into something he does not want to do, if he did decide to go to the appointment and they suggest something, tell them you need to think about it, then get back to them, but otherwise request everything in writing, good luck.;)[this is good advice!!!!]0 -
1st December 2009
I am writing in responce to your letter dated 26th November 2009.
As i am at work all week i am requesting that all correspondance will be by writing only as i am unavailable to take telephone calls.
I have already told you my recolection of what happened when i took the policy out.
your salesperson stated that taking out the policy was esential for me to get the associated credit.
your salesperson stated that taking out the policy would assist my credit application
your salesperson did not give me full information on what the policy would and would not cover, which i found out later.
I would like the final outcome of the investigation recieved by the 17th December as this will have been 8 weeks since i brought this matter to your attention, otherwise i shall be taking this matter futher.
how does that sound ??? should i send it recorded again ???0 -

Fab, well done.......:T, yes send it recorded, as you will know when they receive this by checking on the Tracking part of the Royal mail website.

I bet its because they have that many to deal with they have a job to keep up, no harm in ringing them for an update though and take it from there, good luck.:beer:The one and only "Dizzy Di"

I would give them perhaps another week or two to allow for the holiday post and then if no reply get the complaint off to FOS and also write to them to tell them that that is what you are now doing.alyssa_liss wrote: »still not had a repliy yet

Hi there
I know its a right pain waiting, but now that you have chased this up, they should be on to the case, so give them 7 days.
I would then if you not received anything by then prepare to take them to the financial ombudsman service (FOS).
You can do this by downloading and printing a form from the FOS wesbite or ring the FOS to arrange for them to post the complaints form out to you direct.

Please keep us posted, fingers crossed you will receive a response by the next few days.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"
