My son lost money on payapl once because tracking was supplied but we proved it was the wrong name and the wrong city. he did eventually get his money back from Paypal.
Tell Paypal you will go to the finanacial ombudsman and do so. You can ring them and initiate a complaint tomorrow. They are the only people Paypal have to answer to.
What signature?
This is a major problem and as much an issue with Royal mail as it is with paypal as it is not unknown for RM to not bother cardign people for signed for items.
I'd start by phoning paypal and explaining that you have never had the item back nor have you ever been given the opportunity to sign for anything and ask them what to do.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. unless the item is fake then the odds are with the seller as the buyer needs to obtain written proof to paypal within a very short space of time to prove it is counterfeit.Ebay is hugely weighted in favour of the buyer. This is why you should always refund the buyer without fuss if he is unhappy with the item.
The brand owner my friend spoke to , would not do this!0 -

I think you may be on the wrong thread. Buyer has a refund, the OP in this instance is the seller who has not received their goods back.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. no, i was just saying that ebay/paypal refunds are not always heavily weighted for the buyer
The buyer already has a refund in this instance.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I need some more advice please.paypal have this evening, reversed the payment to the buyer even though i havent received the item back. The buyer emailed me the tracking number yesterday and when i checked the status this morning, it said the item was out for delivery,I waited in and checked again online at lunchtime. It said that the consignee had not been availabe

The buyer has now got his money back and May even end up with the item again. I was in all morning so dont know why it wasnt delivered. More to the point,he could have sent anything.this all feels very unfair and i have made a complaint against paypal, fat lot of good that will do me.
I thought there had to be proof that items have been delivered, not just sent? He might be able to prove that he sent it with a tracking number for example, but that doesn't necessarily prove it's actually been returned to you.
Can you use the tracking number on Royal Mail's website to reschedule delivery?0 -

Nope. Paypal have just emailed me as i appealed and they have basically said that its down to me to track down my parcel. They said i must have been left a delivery card, which i havent.I replied that this is grossly unfair and that as a seller i obviously do not have the same rights as the buyer. I also pointed out that the buyer could have sent anything. It was sent through DHL and i cant seem to re-arrange delivery through the website but obvioulsy need to ring them now.I think this is poor show from paypal.
Does anyone know what the ombudsman email / address is please?“Love yourself first and everything else falls into line. Your really have to love yourself to get anything done in this world.” Lucille Ball.0 -
Have you tried phoning them thats sometimes far more useful than email0

Yes i have and I was asked to give it a few more days to see if my parcel came. That was 3 days ago.I checked things this morning and paypal have re-opened the case at last.Have you tried phoning them thats sometimes far more useful than email“Love yourself first and everything else falls into line. just posted this in another thread
i had the same, paypal refunded it before i recieved it, it was still at the depot waiting delivery to myself
mine was a car cd player worth £50 when i opened it the buyer had damaged it trying to fit it, paypal had already taken the money and i was left with a duff stereo.
you can appeal the refund if it comes back damaged but you will need to take it to a police station to get the damage verified, then post it to Omaha in the states for paypal to give you the funds back they refunded,
i'm currently complaining the financial ombudsman about it all0
