It might be worth a phone call to your local supermarket and explain to manager that T nolonger take coupons so you're looking to move your custom elsewhere for your £100 weekly shop. You're a potential new customer and he'll want to get you through the door! Ask if they'll accept the £5 waitrose/Farmfoods conditional spend. If the answer's yes take down their name incase you get a problem at the till. you might be able to boycott T AND use the conditional spends that are around.
I'd imagine some peeps are so hard up with no cash they'll have no choice but to shop at T's and use clubcard points they've ac[STRIKE][/STRIKE]quired during their couponing days. Another run of daily mail conditional spend T coupons would be hard to ignore.
From Monday Lidl are doing 4 cans of Branston beans for £1. Beans are going to feature heavily in my family meal planner from now on. Last week we had silverside for Sunday lunch, though half that joint is in the freezer so boycotting T for a few weeks may not be that difficult. Waitrose have launched a new cheap alternative basics range. Shame it's a 40 mile round trip for me to a decent sized waities.
I went to local T metro yesterday - to return £30 worth of clothes and ink (200 cc points for the ink, won't be needing the ink now will I?). cs guy asked for cc , presumably to snatch back the points. I said no sorry got different car today so no key fob - like I've got a fleet in the garage from which to choose! Checkout manager came over with the HO email to tell me about new policy. Stole her thunder as of course I already knew. I asked if it was indefinite and she said yes. Then again this is a store that didn't know anything about the national policy when I first produced my mocs and copy of policy at the checkout!
Looked round all the food on the kitchen table as we were tucking into lunch yesterday and realised that it all, right down to the salt and pepper had either been free of bought for a few pence. It was too good to last. Anyway, there's still a chance it will be back. It ain't over 'till the fat lady sings.Ageing is inevitable - maturing is optional0
