  • Another thing worth doing to anyone not already is to sign up to Aldi/Lidll/Netto for their advance notice emails. I have been receiving them for a long time and it means that I have been able to bag a few bargains before the majority of people have seen them - every little helps!!!lol

It also saves on petrol costs as you can decide whether its worth going or not.

I was told this yesterday morning, read the list etc....and then all the bloody stores went right ahead and joined in with the trial. so unless you've been in there yourself, and I think so far bullys is the only one whose tesco is not partaking in this national experiment, i wouldn't take it as gospel.

I did go to Wells store yesterday, picked a young lad on the till and he took my £5 condition spend from the Sun a £2.50 conditional spend sent to me from Waitrose and around £10 in moc for stuff I didn't buy.

My local express however has a sign up on till, so no good there any more.
  • Gather its not possible to set something up similar to PTS for swapping mocs for their intended purpose - some of our posts seem to have been removed. Shame as I thought it might be a good idea given the hard times that are ahead for some people - and better than throwing the mocs away.

HI, good to see you back Bullshot, pity it's in sad circumstances. Most Waitrose do their reductions at about 12.30, then again at 2.30 and 4.30pm. The reductions are usually really good, my OH's favourite being packs of cakes for 10p.;rotfl I shall have to go to t's for fruit and veg, as my nearest supermarket or greengrocers is 35 mins walk away. Rest I can get at Iceland ( milk is cheaper), then a monthly trip tp Waitrose and Asda when I get a lift.

to quote me ol pal mad where's all the lurkers and shirkers, the ghosters and regular posters ....:D:rotfl:

went to my store for a recce today...all the posters were up on every till..you have to buy the product etc blah, blah

did make me larf as to be fair they were never willing to accept coupons without buying the product anyway unless you got a happy scanner or a saturday lad who couldn't give a hoot..

a couple of week ago they woundn't let me use a moc for something I was buying...so bollox to em I say...I'll be shopping elsewhere in future..!!:rotfl:

Thats my store to a tee. Friday they refused a coupon from the tesco mag.

My boycot is not cos they won't accept coupons now, although i would have done for the trail thing. For 2 years i have been treated like crap at Tesco's. The staff, at my local store in particular, have been rude , arrogant and looked down on anyone with a coupon, wether buying or not. They shout across to other staff, and get a kick out of showing you up. I accepted it, for the sake of free shopping, but still had many an arguement,

Now, i can finally stick two fingers up to a company that overcharge and wouldnt know customer service if it hit em in the face. :D
