We all have different views so lets just leave it at that.
(I'll be surprised if anyone can find an instance of me making an unprovoked attack on anyone in the 5 or so years I've been on this forum.)One thing though - everyone assumes your a woman, and i kept getting invited on girlie shopping trips with the gals. I declined, of course, but never got round to saying why. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
It is a shame that some of you have ruined it for others!!!!!!!!!!0

Always happy to agree to disagree.

You should have took them up on it - I had a great time when we went shopping!
They might have known i was male, i never asked. I was tempted to turn up though - would have been a laugh if nowt else.
Anyway- for old times sake:-
pash:- on post by techspec http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/...html?t=1125737
anyone seen the above person posting on the boots thread.. as they are in this freebie thread spouting all about boots and how to use the vouchers and glitches.. humph .. all our hard work and they are getting all the credit!!!! pmsl.
bham-dave:- Pash, I'm amazed that you've posted this comment.
So what if another user is replicating posts made here in another MSE thread? What does it matter? All this means is that more members are being made aware of a bargain. That's the whole point of this site - the more that know the better.
But to name another MSE member as if he/she has done something wrong? Why? That member is hardly gonna feel welcome if they do visit or lurk on this thread.
stmidwife:- There are a lot of really helpful people on here and I am sure that Pash wasn't trying to upset anyone. She is very welcoming to everyone.
Sorry if it isn't my place to respond to this but why is there always someone that wants to come and cause upset?
bham-dave:- Stmidwife - I know Pash - I've met her in person and I've stood up for her on this thread in the past.
I'm not trying to cause upset - I just don't think it's fair to name another user as "taking all the credit
pash:- sorry Dave.. and everyone else if I have upset etc.. I will delete the post, tho anyone that has quoted it will have to ammend too.. hope this helps x I was passing an innocent comment
bham-dave:- don't wanna fall out, but I know that if someone posted a similar message about you in another thread, you'd be upset. x
pash:- post deleted xxx
Then i arrived with my size 11's on:-

First of all, it was ALL my own work, as i sussed this out myself instore.
If you had bothered reading the thread, you would have seen that i was unaware of this forum, as i am not a boots shopper. I had no interest in the store, until i saw the £5 skincare offer in my local boots window when i was passing.
Some people are intelligent enough to work things out for themselves you know, and are then keen to share the information on here. If it turns out that the news was already on, then who was i harming? It was not common knowledge on the forum i was in.
You need to get a life, rather than having cheap pops at people from other forums. I was kindly invited onto this thread by another user. I'm glad i was, as i seems i have already become a part of it in my absence.
As i said, hardly being defended from lots of abuse, but before i even arrived at the thread, you were defending a stranger, so fair play for that!
I did go on to ruffle many feathers, but a lot of people thanked me for standing up to the ones who thought they owned MSE and the Boots Grabbit board.
I then gave up Boots for Tesco's, but returned many month later with another suttle post:-techspec:- Last time i visited this thread was because despite never visiting it, i found out people were talking about me on it for sharing your boots bargains with others on MSE. Shock horror - MSE user helps others.
The fact was that i had discovered a few glitches myself instore and shared them.
I did end up joining in the thread, but eventually i found a better way to save money (Tesco), and i could not keep up with this thread.
Today i return, and instead of helping people with info, i find a cat fight.
Not much as changed whilst i have been away.
The thread was closed by Martin just days later, for in-fighting.
Oh, them were the days lol0 -

Who is "some of you"As far as I know, most people on this thread stuck by the rules of Tesco's policy.
Also what is the point of posting something like thatHow does it help anybody?
I am quite lucky in the fact that I don't have a family that rely on the coupons, so it isn't such a blow to me as it is to some people on here. To some it is going to cause severe hardship, especially with christmas coming up.
I think instead of bickering amongst ourselves we should come up with some kind of letter (as already mentioned) that we can all adapt to our particular circumstances and send off to Sir Terry. Nothing to lose and hopefully something to gain.Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

Hopefully Tesco may review the situation if theres a significant drop in sales but for the time being could we not aim to find the best bargains utilising the coupons that we have at present and try and search for as many large coupons as poss. If you remember the Finish coupon for example - it was possible to obtain dishwasher tablets free with the coupon (it worked for me in Sainsburys, Wilkinsons and the Co-op) but even if anyone finds a product with a very low spend this will be useful to someone.
This is the kind of thing I was saying earlier. Maybe there are other places and ways to use our mocs - one in the eye for T's. Think they might have shot themselves in the foot - and all their trouts who may end up with no job - with the ban.
We can dream - come back all you moccers. Tesco needs your business:T:T:T0 -
You know, a lot of the bitterness and abusive comments about this site's owner in this thread does not make for attractive reading and imo is rather against the spirit of MSE.
I thought I'd point out a few things. Firstly, this site is massive and has no advertising. It is a fantastic resource, not just for people looking for discounts and freebies, but also for people desperately seeking advice about a whole range of things from house buying to benefits and beyond. But do people really expect to have their cake and eat it? You want this lovely free resource, undoubtedly the biggest site of its kind in the UK, and have the owner keep quiet about all the tips and tricks so that a select few alone can profit? Get real ;-)
Instead of biting the hand that's fed you by hurling abuse about the owner of the site you are using for free, how about just being thankful that for so long you were able to take advantage of a loophole that would clearly be closed at some point because the coupon policies of companies like Tescos were obviously at a cost to individual manufacturers.
If you are going to be angry, be angry at Tescos. It's Tescos who drive small manufacturers to the brink of bankruptcy (and over it in some cases) by demanding low buying prices in order for them to sell low and still maintain a good margin. It's Tescos who have killed off the high streets of many small towns where independent businesses simply couldn't compete and it's Tescos who are slowly whittling away the choice of the shopper.
....and before someone says it - no I am not jealous other people made a ton of coupon savings and I didn't. I prefer to support my local independent traders rather than a faceless and homogenised corporation...even if it means I pay more. You've all had a good run, but the gravy train has now left the station and rather than thrashing around giving the MSE owner or even individual Tesco employees a hard time by leaving your heaps of shopping unpaid for at the tills, how about putting all your time and energy into supporting your local independent shops and by extension, your own community.“Don't do it! Stay away from your potential. You'll mess it up, it's potential, leave it. Anyway, it's like your bank balance - you always have a lot less than you think.”
