You can get 15 eggs in Morrisons for £1.45 - every little helps!

Every 3/4 weeks we get chick eggs from the farm itself. They are specially for M&S, the one that are not up to M&S quality control standard, the farmer sell it to the public in the farm. We bought a tray of 30 or was it 36 eggs for £2.50 and mind you its free range eggs. Supermarket can't beat that. :D

Tesco's announce a 1.5% rise in profits from this time last year. Let's see if that continues!

Gutted, I heard that too on the news. Oh well we have to wait for the quarterly for them to drop.

Btw, I bought the Netto bog rolls - they are really good quality & value for money, I can say that it is as good as Charmin & velvet. Same quality & same quantity - 2 ply sheet. I am going to get another 5 (x2)packets (BOGOF) @ £2.99 & that will last us a long time :rotfl: for £15.

1,666 might not sound that much but if it took 10 Pedigree coupons to make £20 that's 16,660 coupons + any others pdf's etc. I think 16,660 would be a pretty big pile and the cash office would've noticed that many pretty quickly. I don't think a till holds too many at a time. SA's would be needing to get their tills emptied more frequently which would flag up to the team leaders.
It would also require a MASSIVE organised gang to get away with 1,666 transactions.

To go around and make that many transactions, filling a basket or trolley each time...

Even if you just queue up with one high-price item. You've then got to go to get the product - queue at the till - leave the store - dump in the transit van, go back to the store, rouse the security guard's suspicion...

    Just seems so unbelievable.

edit: [SIZE=-1]LONDON (Reuters) - Tesco , the world's third-biggest retailer, posted a better-than-expected 8.6 percent rise in first-half profit and said it was well positioned for a recovery in its markets.
and the shares have gone down - does anyone understand the stock market

Apparently the figures are for the period to August 29th - I think this will include the period where they had loads of points promotions - I know I for one bought loads more stuff as there was a 'profit' to be made in points on many items plus of course many were bought with MOC's. All this has gone and I would have thought there would be a big impact in sales - over 50% of people on this forum aren't shopping there for the next 4 weeks for a start - that's gotta hurt :D

Jeferey - the graph you posted yesterday was for one day's trading in Tesco shares though.

I'd imagine the fact that alot of folks are forced (cos of no choice) to shop in T's that the sales will remain steady.

  • Hi Dave I saw for myself the chaos in Dudley by organised gangs. The store had to stop people entering as it was over capacity for fire regulations. The 1000's of coupons were thrown, by cashiers, into empty cardboard boxes as there were too many to go in the cash registers. It was absolute mayhem.
  • Could someone kindly re-post how to reduce number of pages please, as I am up to 52 and keep losing my place when I come back to catch up. Thanks

I know somebody who does that with its close relative. Everyday or maybe 5 times a week. This person works for T, this person gets the priviledge of going in & out of T stores all over the place. Each day they will go from one store to another store to shop from 4/5pm till 10pm. Always came back with a van full of tesco bags. This person also give my relative £21 worth of pdf mag vouchers, When my relative came to visit me & show me the vouchers, I told them not to use it - but they didnt take my advise. So just imagine this person already have £21 min. worth of vouchers plus pedigree + others & shop 5/6 different stores a day.

Here's a 3 month - you can see they are underperforming the footsie even though they have gone up

Maybe - they do talk of Tesco towns  - dread the thought, they are supposed to be ensuring there is competition. Without MOC's Tesco's are expensive and I for one am trying all the other shops - I can't be the only one.
We have a Sainsbury's, 2 x Netto and an Aldi not forgetting the corner shop which I also try and support (they get some good deals in) locally and within 10 miles an Asda and a Morissons. Our nearest Waity's is 20 miles away so I've never been - same goes for Lidl.
If at first you don't succeed, try, try, try - oh bu99er that just cheat :D

I have decided to stick around as it was good hear, i still think we should find internet printables and codes and discount vouchers... because some of the stuff we really buy... and in the end every little helps.... I for one will be using my coupons elsewhere.. probably sainsburys (buying product etc)
