Wow lots of post and some great posts, well done Uk x

Hi Louba - good to see you over here, I said it was nice!

Good pics from Lancaster, which reminded me to look at photos from Rhyl 10km and as usual with me a terrible photo but here it is (I'm in the black) http://www.runningpictures.co.uk/details.php?gid=2271&pid=305925 .

Hope all are well, or getting better xx
  • Thanks for the welcome, I loved your race report UK, forgive my ignorance but I take it you have recently lost your dad?, I am so sorry for your loss but it sounds like you have done an amazing job so you should be proud of your achievement.

Well, after my measly 3 miles yesterday I was planning another run today but my legs ache like mad, I haven't felt so achy since I did my half mara back in April so I'm a bit disheartened, anyhow, I am planning to go for nother 3m tomorrow, I have to get back into it.

I've been looking at races and I am fancying the Haweswater half in March, it will give me something to work towards.

I have never done a marathon, I do want to but can't imagine running that distance, 15 miles is the furthest I've done and I can't imagine doing 11 more miles than that!

Dont worry that *larger* man in front pipped me on the track and I had overtaken him at 10 miles - oooo the shame ;)
  • Evening all. Another week of running done.

    Mon - Rest
Tues - 15 mins walking/running at gym (legs aching)
    Weds - Rest
    Thurs - 4 miles (inc. 7x400m at 15km/h)
    Fri - Rest
Sat -4 miles at 12km/h at gym
    Sun - 9 miles in 82mins

Yesterday was odd. The first time I started doing longish runs on Sundays was in August. It was warm 25 degC and daylight. Last night as I dragged myself through South London it was dark very cold and misty. I knew I was sweating a fair amount as every time I landed in the road from the pavement I could feel rain land on me (it was actually my own sweat). When I stopped running I was steaming. I got a shock when I looked in the mirror at home as I my hair had gone grey. My head was covered in salt.

It has hurt to walk today. Taking it easy this week as got the South London 10K on Sunday.

Dunno how easy it is to fix the car not taken it to the garage yet. Will nip down tesco's for my shopping then head to the garage. Can easily run home from the garage if needs be. TIs a mere 9 miles.
