Actually a couple of years ago, earning over £27k put you in the top 1% of earners worldwide

What we've got here is....... failure to communicate.
Some men you just can't reach.

Are you spinning us a yarn? i smell bullsh!t:rolleyes:
It's a well known fact that the more responsibility you get, the better jobs you obtain and the more money you're paid... the less actual work you have to do. That's generally been my experience anyway. The hardest I ever worked in my life was as a waiter when I was a student, on £3.20 odd an hour and didn't stop for hours on end.
And just as a point of order, Mitchaa isn't really on here all that much.0 -

Thats accurate, to a point.
I work a lot less hours now than I used to, and the work is less physically demanding, and I'm based from home, so set my own hours etc mostly.
But the level of responsibility is greater, and the intensity and skill of the work is much higher, just usually in shorter bursts.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

I kinda meant it as a joke, but I guess it has some truths.
And I completey agree with your points: working your socks off gets replaced slowly by less 'work' but more responsibility and being put on to projects / roles because you're experienced and trusted to just oversee other people doing stuff. IMO of course.0 -

As I see it, you spend the first half of your career learning, and the second half teaching.....
The first half is more work, but the second half is more challenging.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
