I am sure you will sort something, shame about the camper though (although understand why your friend wants rid), I quite like the idea of a camper!

Cheers Beks, on a budget of zero pounds and zero pence I'm sure we'll sort something out, I might get the milk man to give me a lift
I run an event management company, I put on events, I go to events, if I don't know anything about events - its not worth knowing!

I still stick with my original comment - sounds completely ace! :T:T I especially love the 'getting beers out the back then drinking them' part . I'm sooooo jealous, I'd love to own or even have access to a camper van. Maybe that'll be my next project once the wedding's over :D

Have an ace day, sounds like it'll be loads of fun!
i'd love to do this for my "after wedding" project, although the way the money and life are going, it may be the "after buying a house" project, or "after having the kids" project, lol. or we could just buy a camper after the wedding, and use it as a house, and travel round, having a "free as a bird" lefestyle!!

There is someone in Glasgow who have both a vintage beetle and a matching vintage VW minibus that they hire out for weddings. Looks pretty good.

yes, i think this is the company i was looking at for my campervan or beetle - they have the most amazing cars (i'm more excited about the car than the OH, and i'm a girl lol!).
i think the one i've found in glasgow is called waterside weddings. just wish we could get our venue booked, then i will be booking the car straight away!!

good luck with the car hunt tizhimi. whatever you go in, i'm sure it'll be funky (you sound like you have a funky taste like me!!)

The picture of the VW Van is near the bottom of the thread.
Belongs to a friend who used it for a Wedding recently, and loads of people took photo's of it. It was definitely very popular.

Near Oxford if anyone is interested.

If you do want a vw camper you could try contacting a local VW club to see if anyone would be willing to help out. A lot of dubbers just like showing their cars off as much as possible so you'd probably get a couple of offers.
  • Hi sorry to hear about the crash, hope you get something sorted. We will be using our VW camper for the wedding transport for me and the bridesmaids. With some ribbons on it, should be cool. :j:beer:
We got married 17th April 2010 !! A wonderful day with my wonderful husband !! :T
  • Oh this sounds fab! I really want a campervan to take me to mine...but the venue is only really round the corner so we might be walking as they cost so much to hire for such a short trip! Ribbons and things will dress it up lovely, I think it sounds ace!
